Hello and welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a cup of dark French Roast, some tea, hot cocoa or other warm beverage. As you can tell from the cup I’m in New Hampshire and it’s cold and snowing! It was a bitter, bitter cold week with most days not getting above freezing.
As many of you have seen I’ve been taking a blogging slow down. Actually, since I started it has been an almost complete stop. I have plenty of time to write posts but I feel hypocritical if I post but don’t read what others have put up. Anyway, it’s been refreshing to actually be able to do things! I’ve been doing work around the house, fixing things I’ve ignored for months, making phone calls I’ve needed to make, etc.
If you have a minute or four take a look/listen at this:
OK, very different from what I normally do. Another thing I’ve been doing is experimenting and testing things out. So I’ve played more music in the last few days than in weeks. I did one blogging thing, I added a video page.
And I’ve only started to scratch the surface of my list.
I found out I’ll be taking a business trip in early April and will most likely almost drop off completely for about 10 days. I won’t get anything personal done, though. Oh well.
As I get my head back on straight I’ll be posting more and taking more time to read other people’s blog. I’ll try not to get obsesses though and limit it to 45 minutes a day. Not spending 3 hours a day minimum reading blog posts has lifted a huge weight off of my shoulders, one I’m not in a hurry to put back on.
I know, a weekly post about my life and blogging is today an almost un-blogging post! But, if we were having coffee this is what I’d be talking about. Well, and the horrid weather. Will it ever stop snowing?
Hope you all have a great week !
Part Time Monster hosts a weekly coffee share. You can see all of the posts by using the “linky”.
Hi T – I need to later checkout the vid page. enjoyed the upbeat tempo of the demo you shared here – and I hear ya on the to do list – whew – my list has almost 70 things right now – and my goal is to get them all done by the end of March – most are little items – but whew – such busy season I am entering.
well have a great week and thx for the java ☕
peace

70 things by the end of March! wow, you’re going to be busy. I’m flying out for my business trip on the 31st so there are a lot of things I want to get done before I go. That being said, the main list I was talking about is “creative career” type things list.
Glad you enjoyed the music – very different from the Hamlet Symphony! I have some more classical that I want to put out on CD but then I’m going to turn to more electronica. I’ve been experimenting with different feels and sounds.
Thanks for joining me for coffee!

yes my list is much different front he creative career list – ;) – and it ranges from fixing a curtain hook in the guest room to following up and delivering resources to my neighbor – delivering some photos – and a much needed post office trip.
and the music sounds interesting – you are truly a creative dude –

Some of my do-before-I-go-away tasks include such exciting things as replacing the wax on the toilet, so I understand ; )

ha! that is funny – and guess what – in the last 15 minutes I knocked another thing off my list – it was to review a website – and CHECK!!! yeah baby – now there are about 64 things left!
and best wishes your “do-before-I-go-away” stuff

oh that is your math brain at work so fast – to break it down like that – ha! well I am actually hoping to knock out half the list in the next two days – (i have a plan… ha!) – and I do have a math questions for ya – well sorta – but are you up for it?

Go ahead. I’ll only know once I hear it…..(read it)….

Okay – wel I am good at math to – but have not sat down long enough to really figure it out –
okay, so I buy this certain liquid solution. And the one version they sell is where you activate it. you get a set of five bottles – one of the solution and the other is the activator and you use one drop.
they came out with a new formula where they now sell the activated version and so for ten dollars less (90 dollars instead of 100 APPROX—)- you get 5 bottles of the activated stuff – which is more convenient. however, it also requires more of it for the same efeftc – so they say 1 drop of the old stuff is equal to 3 drops of the new stuff – even though I think it is a ratio of 1 to 4 or 1 to 5.
anyhow, I went thru the new stuff so quickly – and I was realizing what a better deal the original sets were – where you end up with ten bottles – because they are mixed – and you use less. so at some point I want to figure out how much of a better deal the “activate” your own can be…

OK, hold on on second and see if I have this right. Old/mix your own = 5 bottles of solution + 5 bottles of activator = 10 bottles for 100. // new/premixed = 5 bottles for 90. 1 drop old = we’ll give them their 3 of the new. So with the new, in total you use 6 times as much (3 times more drops per use, half as many bottles means you use 6 five-bottle sets for ever 1-10bottle old set) for cost that’s 90% of the old. That would mean you pay 5.4 times as much for the convenience. Of course if you use 5 drops new for ever 1 drop old that’s more like 9 times as much!

yeah baby that was fast! and that’s exactly what is going on – thanks T :) appreciate it –
I am going to email the guy later this week because they like feedback on the product – I also already suggested that maybe they could offer packs with 3 of the regular solution (that has to be activated) and then 2 of the already made….
anyhow, thanks so much again and I hope you have a really great day Trent!!! :) <3

I’m really enjoying the tune, having it play as I type this now, has a nice upbeat tempo. We all need a break every now and then. Now is your time.

Thanks! It’s a little different from most of my music. Yeah, it’s time for a break, or at least a slow down.

Sounds like a busy time for you!
Just keep in mind that the blogs are here for you whenever—we all have to take breaks sometimes, and we all have to regroup and revise our plans, too. :)

Yep, and now’s my time for a break. Or at least a slow down.

I like the sound of the music you made. I am learning that each subject has its very own language. The words on your video totally lost me! lol. I usually only think of science and math having their own language, but if I have learned anything so far this year, it is the same for visual arts and music etc. My vocabulary has expanded by epic proportions! I hope you business trip is enjoyable. I have a love-hate relationship with those.

Yes, everything has it’s own language. Besides the music terminology, synthesizers, particularly these “old-school” types, have their set of terms. I sometimes like work travel, sometimes not. We’ll see how this goes.

Good luck with everything. Happy weekend ! <3

Thanks Zee! It is warmer there but I’ll be hitting early tornado season – I’m going to Oklahoma, famous for tornadoes.
Hope you’re doing well – have a great weekend!

Uh-oh Tornadoes? Well at least it will be warmer, you win some you lose some ! lol :P

Google “Oklahoma” and “tornado” and look at the images…. Actually, I was joking (mostly). The chances of me seeing a tornado when I’m out there is about zero and the chances I’ll be affected by one much less than that. But it will be warmer ; )

I think I’m going to have to settle for Cape Cod. After getting a house there that’s the only place we can afford to go!

Yep. And I’m sure not many people feel sorry for me for using a vacation house on Cape Cod as a reason for not traveling :D

There are no actual blogging rules. Your blog, do it your way. I like the tunes, they’d be great on a fast walk about.

I know there’s no rules but for some reason I get that weird obsession. I follow people who post occasionally and only spend a little time reading a handful of blogs they like the most. I may take that avenue when I start to wind back up…

The business trip will give you the added break you most likely need. I think we all put-off stuff we should be doing. Today it is raining here so our plans of visiting the local garden center is out. Instead, I will clean the bird cages and straighten up my studio. I have Andrew’s 4 years pictures do outdoors this week. Then I have the girls 1st birthday smash the cake indoor session.
