Weekly Smile Week 15 #weeklysmile

Weekly Smile #WeeklySmile

A lot has happened in the last week.  There has been a lot to smile about.  I’ve been very busy, yet still have taken some time to stop and smell the, well, this time of year it would have to be daffodils.  So I can’t really pick one big thing to smile about, I’m going to choose all of the little things.

The little things – they happen every day and mostly go by with little notice.  The car that let someone in when they didn’t have to.  A genuine smile from the grocery clerk as she rings your order.  First thing Monday morning, the big “Good morning!” from a worker painting a door in the basement at work.  Friendly chats with coworkers.  Having a face to face meeting with people you talk to on the phone all of the time but have never previously seen in person.  Good words from coworkers, customers, etc. about the job your doing.  Talking to your parents and other family members.  Talking to friends.  Texting and on-line chatting with friends.  Nice weather.  Flowers.  Having a kitten snuggled against you all night or a cat in your lap as you type on the computer.  The friendly wag of a dog’s tail, or the wild swinging of a Boxer’s butt (making up for lack of tail).  Good food.  Walks on the beach or in the woods.  Friendly customer service.  Kayaking, making it the 4th month in a row to be on the water.  And so much more to smile about!  I woke up this morning!  On on this side of the ground!  Things to smile about.

That above paragraph was my life over the last week.  Some bad things happen, and I’ve already complained about them, but so much more good happened.  Most of them were little things.  Little things mean a lot.

Life is made up of many little moments.  On the whole most are pretty good, even if we are in a bad situation.  Sure, from a cosmic view, the moments are neither good nor bad but what we make of them.  I choose to focus on the good side.  And I smile.

That was my smile this week: The Little Things.  What was yours?

If you haven’t seen it, here is a little background to The Weekly Smile as well as some quick guidelines.

So, what made you smile this week? Write about it and post on the link-up (or click the little blue frog below). While you’re there, read what everyone else is smiling about! And come back to it later, if last week is any indication new smiles will be added daily!

Sometimes we get so bogged down in the details that we forget to stop, look around and remember how wonderful it all really is :)
      Have a great weekend!

I’m sure you are seeing a lot of things to smile about – I’ve enjoyed the pictures you posted. I was traveling all last week and Thursday was a long travel day (6 hours in Newark airport because of cancelled connecting flight) but it wasn’t as long as your recent travel day! Usually, for me, busy is good.
      Enjoy your travels!

Thanks. No travel plans for another month. I hope you’re having a great time in Africa! I forget, are you in Zimbabwe? Ah, I’ll go to your site and look. I’m sure it’s great.
