Wednesday already? Busy, busy, busy, I just can’t keep up with the week. On the good side of that, a very large, high profile project I’ve been working on came to an end on Monday. It was a busy morning of coordination, email messages and hasty phone calls. But it is done. OK, it’s not really “done”, in fact, it has now officially started, but my part of it is for the most part at an end. Yeah, it is still there under my groups care, but the part that took my time and effort is done.
After it was all done, a lot of the people on the wrap up phone call were almost giddy. It had been a long, hard slog and we did it. Now it’s in operations. I was pretty much a bit player, but a very important bit player. I’m sure the people in charge of it all are even happier than I am ;)
So that was my smile for the week, finishing a monster project.
What made you smile this week?
If you haven’t seen it, here is a little background to The Weekly Smile as well as some quick guidelines.
So, what made you smile this week? Write about it and post on the link-up (or click the little blue frog below). While you’re there, read what everyone else is smiling about! And come back to it later, if last week is any indication new smiles will be added daily!

Note – the weekly smile runs Wednesday Morning to Wednesday morning. I post in the morning (Eastern US) and put up the link usually between 7 and 8 AM EST. I also try to post on Sunday as a reminder. People can and do join throughout the week.

Nothing quite like that feeling of achievement at the end of a long hard slog. Congrats! Wednesday? I’m having trouble with the fact it’s more than halfway through September!

Wait, it isn’t still August? Uhm, and it still isn’t 2008? I know what you mean!
It is great to finish a major project whether personal or work related. With this one it is the relief of being done almost as much as the accomplishment ;)
