Weekly Smile #WeeklySmile
This week I ran into a few people who were working with new web sites (new to them in one case). I’ll talk about three, all three new beginnings in one way or another.
My sister decided to help out her local “affordable transport” and clean up their web site. She contacted me with a Word Press question, and I gave her a little html lesson. They wanted to spend money they didn’t have to make the site usable, but in a short time she made it much better. Not perfect, maybe not even “professional”, but it works well for what it is. Kind of cool. (This may be helpful mostly to people in Vermilion, OH. – Vermilion Rides.)
Sonya was one of the first people I met on Word Press and one of two people from those first handful of months I still see regularly. She is a great photographer. Recently she started a new blog. She is leaving professional photography behind, so the new blog is mostly family and what she sees around herself, i.e., landscape, but with a great photographic eye. Also a bit more chatting included. She is starting over on her blog, which is hard going from a lot of followers to almost zero, so why don’t you take a look?
I have another friend, who for now I want to remain anonymous, who has just started an exciting new venture, again on a Word Press based blog. She has a site that looks good enough to eat – the site has many healthy recipes. She found most of them in other places, but touched them up to suit her tastes, improved them with her experience. She has just started out and is looking for people to come look at her delicious foods, so go take a look, even if you’re not into “Food Blogs”. She has just started at zero and is looking for readers.
I think it is great people starting off in new directions, and these days the web is the main place you can do that. I wish these ladies well and I hope you take a look!
This week I smiled about three ladies I know starting new ventures on line.
So, what made you smile this week? Write about it and post on the link-up (or click the little blue frog below). While you’re there, read what everyone else is smiling about! And come back to it later, if last week is any indication new smiles will be added daily!

Note – the weekly smile runs Wednesday Morning to Wednesday morning. I post in the morning (Eastern US) and put up the link usually between 7 and 8 AM EST. I also try to post on Sunday as a reminder. People can and do join throughout the week.

I tried to bookmark the site and I can’t seem to do it. I have to search for it each time and I keep forgetting to do it.

Thank you for the tip about Sonya, I am now following her and can’t wait to see more photographs. The food blog looks wonderful so I followed there as well, a new tasty recipe is always welcome. Great weekly smile, thanks for sharing.

Thank you Trent for the link up. I think it is a very slow process moving people from one blog to another. Now I am thinking I should have done something different with the new blog name. I hate second guessing myself lol,
