Weekly Smile #WeeklySmile
I take a lot of photos. One problem is going through all of those photos, finding the best, and then editing them to post here (or use in other ways). I finally had a chance to go through all of my photos from the trip I took to Ohio in early June. I was surprised by a few of them. For instance, I took a lot of pictures of a great blue heron in Lake Erie. As i was going through the photos, I noticed that you can see a turtle in about a half a dozen of the shots. It was swimming around the bird. Looking at the head, it must have been a huge snapper. Was it looking for poultry? I have a few shots of another great blue shaking the water off like a dog. I take a lot of pictures of the moon, and I think I took my clearest yet.
I will post a bunch of photos on Monday, but for now I want to show you one. Take a look at this picture.
Here is a verbal description – a bald eagle has just hit the water and is starting to fly away with a fish in its talons. Two red wing blackbirds are harassing it. Fun, huh?
My second smile this week is going through month old photos and finding a few real gems.
So, what made you smile this week? Write about it and post on the link-up (or click the little blue frog below). While you’re there, read what everyone else is smiling about! And come back to it later, if last week is any indication new smiles will be added daily!

Note – the weekly smile runs Wednesday Morning to Wednesday morning. I post in the morning (Eastern US) and put up the link usually between 7 and 8 AM EST. I also try to post on Sunday as a reminder. People can and do join throughout the week.

Thanks! Even going through the images on the back of the camera (well, zipping through 700+ images for this trip!) it is still easy to miss things. It is fun to find what i missed while taking the photos.
