Weekly Smile #WeeklySmile
I try not to self-promote too much in these smiles, but I will today ;) Well, at least a little. I just self-published my second book. I say “second book”, but it is the first full length novel, so first “Real Book”. It has been a log time coming. I finished writing it four years ago! Perhaps four years to the day – I just looked at a 2013 calendar and I think I finished it on August 23, 2013! And so finally, after many revisions, it is out there. People are not crawling out of the woodwork to buy the book, but that’s not important. What is important is that the book is out there. The first, and not the last – I have three more written….
If you haven’t seen anything about The Fireborn, here is the page with information (and links to Amazon ;) ). You can read all about it on the page. And here is a link to the official release party post.
This week I’ve been smiling about the book I published. It’s been a great adventure :)
So, what made you smile this week? Write about it and put your link in the comments below or do a ping back to this post. (InLinkz has been getting funny so I dropped it.) Next week I will do a recap post before I put up my weekly smile and include all of the links and even the short smiles people leave in the comments. Yes, that’s right, if you just leave a smile as a comment, i.e., you don’t do a post, I’ll include that in the recap too! So let me know what you smiled about!
Not sure the “rules” for the Weekly Smile? Check here.

Note – the Weekly Smile runs Wednesday Morning to Wednesday morning. I post in the morning (Eastern US) and put up the link usually between 7 and 8 AM EST. I also try to post on Sunday as a reminder. People can and do join throughout the week. Sometime Wednesday morning before I post a new smile, I will post a Smile Recap of the week before. have fun and Smile! :)

Thanks! It’s been a dream for a long time. This is just the first time i decided to actually sit down and write out what was happening in my head. It was worth it! Good luck in putting something out!

Thanks. It was nice to finally get it out. Now it’s time to start doing new drafts of the others…
I know you are doing your memoir for your degree, but are you going to publish it when it is finished?

I finished a memoir a few years back and it was about to be published when I received legal advice to rewrite a bit of it. I was doing my degree at the time and just haven’t got back to do it. Just a matter of putting some letters in my own language rather than print the letter. I had thought as it was evidence in a court case that it was in the open domain. This memoir I will definitely get published. The one for my degree I’m not sure whether I will publish or not. Like you I have a few things in the pipeline.

You may have mentioned the first before, but I most likely assumed it was one and the same as the one you were doing for your degree.
