All is grey and dead
Memories of snow linger
I await in faith
But a sprout of color rises
Trust rewarded, credit gained

This was written for Colleen’s Weekly Poetry Challenge. The key words today were “Grow” and “Honor”. Following her suggestion, I didn’t use the words, I used only synonyms.
Aaw, yes. Well captured Trent.

Thanks. Spring has been trying to show up, so, at least for me, it seems that nature is finally wakening from its long winter’s nap.

Thanks. yes, still the only bit of color around here, and I think they never opened yesterday, staying wrapped up against the cold wind.

I love your photo. The awakening of nature in spring does stimulate us to awaken within.

The weather in this part of the world often doesn’t really cooperate in the early spring, but it does waken something within. Thanks.

No, this one is from this year! OK, it is well used since I used it for my coffee post too, but my other spring flower posts was last year’s crocus ;)

Well done, Trent. I like how you told a story and how the crocus triumphed in the end! :D <3

No matter how cold and wet it is, Spring (and crocuses) do seem to triumph in the end ;)
