Hello and Welcome! Come on in. It’s still cold out there, and despite the sun, it doesn’t look like it it will get too warm today, more like a mid-March day than an early April one. But after this week… More on that later. For now I’ll get you a nice mug of very strong Sumatra roast, a cuppa tea, hot cocoa or other beverage. And where are we? Some of you may recognize the mug as coming from Ireland New Hampshire (where is the mug now, not where it came from).
OK, back to the weather. It snowed on Monday. Not as much as farther south of us. Yes, that sounds odd. The snow didn’t last long, but it did snow. It was supposed to warm up significantly by Wednesday. Tuesday wasn’t as warm as it was supposed to be and Wednesday was cold and wet. Finally, at 5 PM, the sun came out and it warmed up, only for the temperature to fall drastically over night. The temperature fall wasn’t helped by the super strong north winds. One of my neighbors lost a temporary structure. I saw other damage. Thursday was colder than most days this February, as was Friday. And it snowed again on Friday! Not a lot, but there the ground is still covered! When is Spring really going to arrive?
Enough complaining about the weather. I know, why complain if you can’t do anything about it? Same can be said of work ;) OK, some good things happened at work, but it was still tiring.
I sent my book to four and a half beta readers. What? One wanted a few chapters to start. She had some good comments. Do you want to beta read? Let me know in the comments.
As I said, it is nice and sunny out there. The wind has died down.Despite that it feels more like late winter than early Spring, I will be out doing stuff. I also have to shop for a few things. And I want to play some music. And write. And, well, my day is filling up :)
I’m glad you were able to stop by! It was nice chatting. I hope you have a great weekend and a wonderful week ahead. If you have a coffee share, I’ll try to stop by.
he original Coffee Share kind of died out, but it has been revived! Eclectic Alli is hosting a coffee share. This week’s share is here. and the link up is here. Come on and join in! Hopefully we can bring it back to its former glory :)
Last time I visited Indonesia it was West Sumatra, offbeat track, I loved the coffee ! Check out my experience here http://indianglobetrotter.com/indonesian-coffee-kopi-kahwa-west-sumatra/

There are several brands that sell “Sumatra Roast”, typically a dark coffee that has to been from sourced from Sumatra. It’s one of my favorites. I’m sure the coffee is better at the source! From a quick look on Wikipedia, West Sumatra is a section (west coast) of the island of Sumatra, which, as you said, part of Indonesia.

Trent, you (like me) are missing completely from WordPress’s search engine. you ONLY appear as reblogs or links. They have a very seriously busted database!

I’ll have to take a look. Maybe it’s good to be anonymous ;) There are so many bugs in WordPress and they seem to come up with more vevery day.
Thanks.

Complaining about the weather is inbred into Canadian culture. I think it’s also because we’re either freezing or boiling. We truly go from boots to sandals.
But I hear you. When is Spring coming!

I do have hope that spring is almost here. the forecast is pretty close to “average” in the second half of the seek. i just hope it isn’t like a warm few days then cold again!

We got a cool front yesterday out of the blue. That does not normally happen this late. The weather has been a bit odd that is for sure. Have a great week Trent.

the next few days here will be cool, but 50s and possibly 60s by the end of the week. I hope spring is here! Sorry about the snow. Hope your weekend is going well and you have a great week, despite the possible snow on Monday!

When I was complaining about the snow here, I figured you were saying “wimp” ;) Yesterday was beautiful and sunny, and today looks like a repeat, though slightly cooler. The sun feels great! but the wind doesn’t. Even if cold, I hope you are enjoying the sun! Have a good week.

Hope your weather stabilises and turns to spring soon. Good luck with your book. I’m in two minds as to whether to offer to beta read or not. My problem is time so although I’d like to offer I probably should refrain. Thanks for coffee Trent. Have a good week.

The long range forecast shows warmer weather by the end of the week. I hope it’s right! If you don’t have time to read a 100K word book now, I completely understand. I set a hard deadline of May 11, so just over a month now. If you do think you might have time, just let me know.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope your weekend is going well and that you have a good week coming up!

It sounds as if you’re a lot like I am: I want to do sooooooooo many things in the 24-hour period of each day.
However, I’m not always good at really getting them done. I start out with the best of intentions, but then somewhere along the line …… well, let’s just say i hope you do better than I do.

I hope your weekend is going well and perhaps you can be a little more productive tomorrow.

What is spring?! At least in the absences of spring we still have hot coffee and the coffee share.

The coffee will keep us warm… It looks like there might be a hint of spring towards the end of the week, but I won’t hold my breath!
I hope your weekend is going well.

It sounds like your days are filling up with fun stuff! Doing outdoor stuff is my favorite thing, even if it happens to be chores. We’ve had tons of rain this week, but it’s starting to clear up now. When I took my horse out to his pasture this morning I had to wad through a small pond of water, almost reaching up to the end of may boots. Tomorrow we’re expecting some sun, and that is a good thing, because I’m having a round-pen delivered. Enjoy your weekend! Best of luck with your book!

I try to stay outside as much as possible all year. I haven’t touched my snow blower in years because shoveling is one of the few ways an adult is allowed to go out and play in the snow ;) I hope it dries out for you soon. Looking forward to seeing photos of the “new” horse. Have a great week!

I do the same. One of the reasons I became a Kindergarten Teacher in the first place, I worked at an outdoor school for a long time. It was pretty awesome. Thank you :) Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

It seems like the weather is quite bizzare, Trent. I hope we don’t get a bad winter. Africa doesn’t cope will with extreme weather at all. I also have some re-writing to do on my latest book following a critique. It is worth it though.

The weather has been odd. I think the last time we had such a late spring we actually had a much warmer than usual summer. I hope you don’t extreme weather.
The critiques are worth it. Much better to have issues found before it gets published!
Have a great week!
