If We Were Having Coffee on the 21st of April, 2018

Coffee in NH with Moog

Hello and Welcome!  Come on in and I’ll get you a nice mug of a strong French Roast/Sumatra Roast blend, a cuppa tea of other beverage.  The sun is out!  It is relatively warm and going to get a little warmer!  So we may have to make this short – the world is calling, no, screaming my name, right now.  And where in the world are we?  Some of you may recognize the photo as being in New Hampshire.

First weather.  It was cold on Sunday and didn’t really warm up the way it was supposed to, it just stayed cold. The rain was supposed to hit in the evening and warm thing up, but it hit overnight and left two or three inches of slushy white stuff.  All though it rained hard all day Monday, the snow didn’t go away, just got messier.  It was a little warmer the rest of the week, but it was mostly cloudy so felt cold.  It also snowed a little on Thursday morning.  The ground was coated for a few hours.  Yesterday was warmer (50 F/10 C), but because of the clouds and wind it felt frigid.  today though…  And the forecast…  We may have Spring yet!

And I did see daffodils.  Here is the proof:

I spent most of last Saturday outside.  Between Friday and Saturday I got quite a few photos.  Combined with others that I took this year, I decided to break it into five posts.  I’ve put up three so far: Osprey, Hawks and Eagles, and Ducks and such.  Here are some samples, though you need to go to the posts to check them out!

Eagles Fighting!!

Duck (Red Breasted Merganser)

By the way, watching eagles fight above your head is impressive!

Work was work.  very busy and a lot going on.

Besides that, just the same old.  Walking the dogs, massage, playing music, writing, reading, etc.  I felt better this week, but not totally 100%, so I waited until Friday to restart my exercise routine.  But I think I am pretty close to 100% now!

(Trent…  Trent… Come out and Play… Trent…)

Ooops, the outside world is calling even louder.  Do you hear it? (Trent….)  I need to wrap this up and get out there!

Thanks for stopping by!  It was nice chatting.  If you have a coffee chat I will try to stop by for a visit, but it might be late this evening or tomorrow.  or Monday.

The original Coffee Share kind of died out, but it has been revived!  Eclectic Alli is hosting a coffee share.  This week’s share is here. and the link up is here. Come on and join in!  Hopefully we can bring it back to its former glory :)

Thanks Marilyn. As to the eagles, I’m pretty sure they were fighting. They were immature. If they’re like humans, that doesn’t mean anything, but… Also, one of them had caught a fish and was trying to eat it. The other one was trying to steal the fish from the first.

That’s the beauty of digital – I can take 500 shots to get 1 good one ;) Also a camera that acts instantly (with a good telephoto lens) is a must. Thanks, Sandra.

We’ve had a couple of near 60 degree days but it hasn’t felt that warm. There are lots of flowers in bloom. Lots of tulips in all colors but I don’t have a single picture of them. I’ve had the blahs this week and yesterday was bad, pain-wise so I didn’t go out except to the pharmacy. Tomorrow I hope things will be better. I know the forecast is for the mid 60’s. I’m glad you’re feeling near 100%. That makes such a huge difference in our outlook.

Sorry you weren’t feeling well. That sounds like Friday here – it got up to 50, but there was a strong north wind and no sun. It felt like 20! brrr. The last couple of days have been nice and I’ve been trying to enjoy every minute of outdoor time possible. Hope you feel better this week coming up!

Daily basis when I am down on Cape Cod. But then, I spend a lot of time there! Also, this is the first time I’ve seen eagles there. I see them all of the time when visiting my parents in Ohio and I sometimes see them very high in the sky in New Hampshire, but having them down in were i walk every day I am on the Cape is great.

I think this weekend marks the arrival of spring. Finally ;) I love watching the birds (also Hitchcock’s The Birds, but that’s another story). Every so often I get lucky and am in the right place at the right time. Thanks. :)
