Water and Such – Cape April 2018

Foggy Morning

The last couple of times I visited cape Cod I took quite a few photos.  I decided to divide them out into four posts:

Osprey
Hawks and Eagles
Ducks, Geese and Swan
Turkey and Other Birds
Water and Such

This post is about all of those things that didn’t make it in before.

Remember the photo of the egret I posted last time?  I told you to look at its feet.  Well, here is a version with less of a crop.  See them?

Egret and Turtles

If you missed it, here is a crop of that same photo that shows what I am talking about – turtles.

Turtles!

Our cottage is very near Swan Pond in Dennis Port.  I am up early most mornings so like to watch the sun rise over the pond.  This photo is actually from February, though the one at the top is early April.

Fog over the pond

If I don’t have to work, I usually take a morning walk at Chapin Beach.  The other day I went to Mayflower instead (very close).  The tide was low, but the surf high.  I took a lot of photos of the surf.

Surf on Mayflower Beach

This is actually from New Hampshire, but I had to include it someplace since it was mixed in all of the Cape photos ;)

Crocus

Here are more photos. Click on them to see more detail. Once you click on one, you can scroll through them.  I hope you enjoy!

The turtles are great. One thing is that it proves that Spring is finally here. (I’m sure you’ve heard that the east half of the US has had an extended winter). The waves were pretty wild. I am never able to capture how wild it is – I took pictures during a hurricane when the waves looked like mountains, and the photos were all blah. This wasn’t the biggest surf ever, but I think I did a slightly better capture.

I hope you are doing well. It’s been a long time since I’ve “seen” you.

Thanks. After all of the “action shots” I posted earlier, I wasn’t sure if I had enough “others” for a good post. And i do like the turtles :)
