If We Were Having Coffee on the 20th of May, 2018

Coffee in NH with Moog

Hello and Welcome!  Come on in.  I’ll get a mug of strong French/Sumatra roast blend, a cuppa tea, some juice or whatever.  It is sunny, but a little chilly out there.  Don’t worry, it will warm up.  There might even be thunderstorms this afternoon. And were are we?  Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being taken in New Hampshire.

The big thing to talk about is the return of Spring.  The trees have leafed out nicely.  Everything is very green, except where there are flowers.  I mowed the lawn.  I’ve worn shorts most of last week.  Spring has Sprung.  If it wasn’t for the roads looking like a war zone, you would never know that we had winter.

Work was, well, not as busy as it has been, but still very busy.

I watched The Last Jedi.  Yes, for being a Star Wars geek I’m pretty far behind.  I will have to watch it again before I totally make up my mind, but I did like it.  I love that the Force is again how it was in the original series and not the idiotic Midochlorians or whatever the hell they are called.  That was the lowest moment of Star Wars.  The Force is supposed to be mysterious, something in all matter that binds the galaxies together.  Midiwhatevers almost made me almost stop watching.  But they are gone.  The Force is back to some mysterious thing that binds the Universe.

I am trying to think back on the week and it is a blur.  I had very little time to read or post.  I may need another 100% off line blog break.  I walked dogs, exercised, had massage, did a little writing, and, well, the week was full and I don’t remember any of it.

Thinking of blog break.  I will be away for a few days over Memorial Day weekend.  I will have little time to read or post.  I may miss the coffee share next week.  I will miss other things.

The dogs are driving me crazy.  It is time to go outside!  Why am I sitting at my computer?  There is sunlight!  I think I will have to listen and go out with them.

Thanks for stopping by!  It was nice to see you! If you have a coffee share I will try to visit, but I have been so off the blog, I can’t guarantee it. Have a great week!

The original Coffee Share kind of died out, but it has been revived!  Eclectic Alli is hosting a coffee share.  This week’s share is here. and the link up is here. Come on and join in!  Hopefully we can bring it back to its former glory :)

I am so happy to hear that Spring has finally sprung and you are getting some green and warmth. We are most definitely heading into winter after a fairly mild autumn thus far.
I tend to ignore the fact that they made three prequels. Terrible films. My middle son recently did a Star Wars marathon and watched every single movie in one sitting (not counting Solo which wasn’t out yet). Took something like 25 hours. Young people…. (He also confirmed that yes, the prequels are rubbish.)
Yes, take a break and get out in that fab weather. We’ll all be here when you decide to return. :)

I had planned on doing the Star Wars marathon, though stretched over three weeks, before watching The Last Jedi, never found the time. There are some good parts to the prequels, which makes how awful they are in whole that much worse. So much potential ruined by idiotic choices.

I’m going to spend 5 days with family, so it will be nice. Maybe not outside as much as I’d like, but still some time “eagle hunting” with my dad.

I hope you have a great week.

Greetings for another week, Trent. Hope you get a chance to relax over the break. I’m needing to catch up on a few things at home after the A-Z Challenge swallowed up much of March April and a bit of May as well. That said, I need to edit it and take it to completion and notice that its dropping off my radar. There’s always so much going on.
    Take care & best wishes,
    Rowena

It’s amazing how much time and effort a challenge like that can eat up. Hope your blogging life returns to normal soon. As far as life with puppies, that will never return to normal – puppies have a way of keeping things moving ;)

      Have a great week!

They need to keep me moving, Trent. We don’t have a full length mirror that’s easily accessible at home, but I saw one today and I need to get fit. Or, at least fitter.
        Best wishes,
        Ro

Puppies can keep you active! In fact, the more active I am with ours, the happier they are.

I’m sure everyone in my town think I’m a lunatic. I run through the village green with a leash in each hand, the dogs wrestling, and will often jump up, twist in the air, land backwards and continue at a sprint but backwards. When they pass, I jump up, twist, land forward and keep going without missing a beat. I call it “Dancing with (the Descendants of) Wolves” ;)

Some weeks are like that, just disappearing. I can relate to the feeling. I quit my 9-5 almost seven years ago, but I have never ever been busier than now. It’s busy in a satisfying way, but sometimes I just need to take a break. I did that yesterday. It felt very good.

Have a wonderful Memorial day vacation!

Usually my busy is in a satisfying way, but not always. I think last week was half and half. A lot of it was that I didn’t sleep well, so… It is always good when there is a sense of accomplishment for all of the work.

Thanks! I’m visiting my parents in Ohio. No mountains, but I should get a lot of photos of eagles, which is always good.

Thanks for the coffee! Nice that Alli has reinvigorated WCS! I plan to share some old posts from the series and had to go back and take out those links! Enjoy your short break for Memorial Day! Being outdoors is a lot more important than sitting in front of your PC! Glad your weather is warm, so enjoy those kayak and hiking sessions, Trent.

I do enjoy the coffee share and am glad it is back.

It will be nice to get away for a few days. I won’t be doing any kayaking, but i will do some “eagle hunting” with the camera. Always fun.

      Have a great week!
