Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a nice mug of very strong Sumatra Roast, a cuppa tea or other beverage. Actually, since it is about noon and warmish, you may want something cooler than coffee… It is a beautiful day. Warm, but not hot. Clear blue sky. Pleasant breeze. And were is this perfect weather? Some of you may recognize the mugs at the top of the page as being at my cottage on Cape Cod. Did you know there were hydrangea around my cottage?
I came down late on Wednesday. I had to work on Thursday and Friday, so not a lot of holiday making… Today I got up, took puppies for a walk, ate, took puppies outside to play, took a long walk on the beach, did another puppy walk and ten went kayaking. I just had lunch and am going to relax for a half an hour before I go out and do some more! I think I will swim, walk in the woods with puppies and other such things. I’m sure there will be anopther beautiful sunset tonight…
I think I told you last week that I finished the last editing of The Halley Branch. After that I took a few days for formatting. I then did all of the publish stuff. Almost. And so The Halley Branch is up for pre-order! It will be officially released on July 24, but if you want to order a Kindle copy ahead of time, you can! Check out this page (or just search Amazon for The Halley Branch).
Anyway, the sun is up, the birds are calling, i have to be on the move!
Thanks for stopping by. It was nice visiting. If you have a coffee share I will try to stop by your place for a return visit. Have a great weekend!
he original Coffee Share kind of died out, but it has been revived! Eclectic Alli is hosting a coffee share. This week’s share is here. and the link up is here. Come on and join in! Hopefully we can bring it back to its former glory :
That sunset looks amazing, Trent. Beautiful. You must be very fit. I felt exhausted just reading about all your activity, although it sounded rather fun. Bit cold for a kayak here atm but not long to wait. Hope you have a great week!
Best wishes,
Rowena

Hi Rowena.
The sunsets across Swan Ponds are almost always beautiful and that one, with the rays streaking out, seemed to be better than most.
I stay pretty active, as you can tell. Yeah, I’m a little hyperactive and have a hard time sitting still for long, kind of like a five year old ;) I do try to have fun with it. I try not to take my good health for granted, but i also try to take advantage of it,
As to kayaking, well, your version of cold wouldn’t keep me off of the water, as long as it isn’t windy or raining ;) I forget if you said 7 or 17. of course 17 is a heat wave in the winter or spring, and even 7 is fine if I don’t have to break through too much ice on the pond since here it might be -17 the night before. (Yes, I have dragged my kayak across ice to reach water before..)
Hope you have a great week!

It sounds so perfect!! I have never had any luck with hydrangea’s. Yours are amazing. Blue is my favorite color, and my daughter got me a beautiful blue hydrangea for Mother’s Day this year. I killed it. Please don’t tell anyone. I don’t think they like our dry heat. Yours are truly amazing. I don’t think I ever seen them that beautiful. Best of luck with your book!

I’m sorry if I had a small laugh – you do so well with plants! It is relatively cool on Cape Cod and is very humid. Blue hydrangea are very popular here, but I don’t see them often off of the Cape. White, yes, but not the blue. The ones around my cottage are beautiful. I had someone come up and ask if I minded if they took pictures, so I guess others thing so as well.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

Hey Trent. Small corrections to the above; you have spectacular hydrangea. What a great shot of a great specimen. You also have spectacular sun sets. I could set back and enjoy that for as long as it takes to complete.
Thanks for sharing.
All the best.

Congratulations on getting the book ready for release! Didn’t know about the hydrangea. Lovely!! Also, I envy you your sunset. No horizon, here, and I have not visited a lake shore in all too long. Sounds like you have the makings of a perfect weekend! Best wishes for next week!

My house in New Hampshire is in a valley, so the horizons there are a bit lacking, but I still can get some good sunsets of the light coming from behind the surround hills. I also have hydrandea in New Hampshire, but it is white. The blue down here on Cape Cod is gorgeous! And, I may be biased, but I think the prettiest around are those in front of my cottage ;)
Hope yopu are having a good weekend and have a great week ahead!
