There once was a time when I used to put up a hand-drawn picture at least once a week. I’d like to start drawing again, but it is time consuming. As motivation, I’ll post some of my favorite art work, including those I did for The Halley Branch and The Fireborn.

Thanks, Diana. My problem is that I have a hard time practicing more than one art at a time. If I’m composing music, I don’t draw or paint; if I draw and paint, I’m not writing; and if I write I’m not composing music. Oh well, maybe I can do it all when I retire ;) Actually, if I draw as illustrations to a story or a poem I can do it, but in the last year or so most of my stories have been written to prompts so an image is already given.

I LOVE the opening photo of the camera, the piano keys, musical score, and the transition to colour. What were your thoughts on creating this? … and the horn in the background?

Thanks! That was drawn as, and continues to be, the symbol of my blog. I don’t play trumpet as much as I used to, but I still own one. And, of course, music, photography, drawing, etc. I do now concentrate more on writing, but I try to put music, photography art and creativity in general in the mix.

Thanks! That one was based on experience, though the real storm wasn’t as dramatic as the one I drew here ;) It was Hobie Monocat, like the boat in the drawing.
