If We Were Having Coffee on the 30th of September, 2018

Coffee in NH with Moog

Hello and Welcome!  Come on in and I’ll get you a large mug of a very strong Sumatra Roast, a cuppa tea or other warm beverage.  It looks like a gorgeous fall day, but it is still a little chilly.  Not that it will be hot later, perhaps 68 F (20 C).  It is actually beginning to feel like autumn!  And were are we this week?  Some of you may recognize that photo at the top as coming from new Hampshire.

As I said, it seems fall has finally arrived.  The week started cold and wet.  But then it became warm and wet, hitting 80 F (27 C) on Thursday!  The leaves haven’t really changed much yet, but some are falling.  I want more color!

It was an odd week and I really don’t remember a lot.  I did some editing on my book of short stories and started working on the cover.  I did a little work around the house.  of course there was work work, which was busy, but not insane.  I had to go into the office on Wednesday because our Internet was out.  It was the entire town, so I couldn’t just go to the library.

I decided to bring The Weekly Smile back to my blog.  It went for almost 80 weeks, but I was pretty burned out by the end.  I was doing up to three Smile posts a week and only had two or three people join me.  It became a chore.  But it has been idle for about a year, so I think it is time to come back.  I will do just the main post (Mondays now) and a recap post.  Anyway, you can read more about it here.

Well, that’s about it.  I have a lot to do today.  I hope to be able to read all of the coffee posts, but can’t make promises, particularly to those who post Monday – by then my mind is off of a the weekend and it is hard to thing about these shares, but I will try.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by.  I hope you had a great.  See you soon!

The original Coffee Share kind of died out, but it has been revived!  Eclectic Alli is hosting a coffee share.  This week’s share is here. and the link up is here. Come on and join in!  Hopefully we can bring it back to its former glory!

Yeah, it is cold and wet and is supposed to be tomorrow as well. but then it will warm up and by in the mid 70s by Thursday. After that, it actually looks decent, but I’ll be in Ohio, so I’ll miss it… (Thursday returning Monday).

Ilike how you wrote that by the time the Monday comes your mind is off of the weekend coffee posts.
I know there is flexibility with timing of posts – but some things really do lose a bit of flavor and mood at a different time of the week.
Like I noticed that the Friday Fictioneers is more of a Wednesday party! That mood and groove goes well into the weekend – but by Monday and Tuesday – it is like the punch bowl is empty.

And so I like the way your worded that…

also – think it was wise to read the signs of the weekly smile – and we shall see how the next run goes…

The problem with Friday Fictioneers is that by Friday I am almost burnt out by it! I very rarely read any of them over the weekend. So yes, it is a Wednesday and Thursday party.

We’ll see how the Weekly Smile goes. If a lot of people don’t join I still may go on as a solo effort, but we will see.

I think I remember the weekly smile… If it’s what I’m thinking about, I’m glad you’re bringing it back. If it’s not what I’m thinking, then I’m curious to see what it is. I’ll try to join in but my time for such things is near non-existent! I’m trying to find a way to squeeze a relationship into my schedule, but it’s going to be tough to make room for anything right now.

The original ran through all of 2016 and most of 2017. It was pretty informal and most entries were short – a paragraph or two. of course it is a new start and it will become what we all make of it. I do understand constraints on time! I haven’t seen this week’s coffee share, but I know you are usually pretty busy once the school year gets going.

I really enjoy those weekends, with odds and ends to do at home. That feels like fall! I took my daughter to look at Halloween decorations this morning, that also feels like fall. I hope you’re having a great weekend. Thank you so much for the delicious coffee!

Yay for the Weekly Smile! I enjoyed those.. :-) Fall colors in Michigan are spectacular, especially “up north”. I hope to get in a road trip. I know what you mean about the coffee share. If I post late, I get barely any views.

It will be nice bringing the Weekly Smile back. I’ve had a lot of comments about it, so I know it is the right thing.

New Hampshire is usually gorgeous, but so far this year there isn’t much. Still hoping…

As I said, when Monday comes along, it is just hard to remember to go back and look at the link up.

I hope you have a great week!
