Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a large Sumatra Roast, a cuppa tea or whatever. Well, since it is pretty late, a bit after 4 PM and already dark, we might want to skip the coffee and go straight for the “whatever” ;) It was a cool day, cloudy most of the time, though with a few peeks of sun now and again. Where are we? Some of you may recognize those mugs as being from Cape Cod – The bat is actually from the Edward Gorey House in Yarmouth, just a few miles down the road.
A lot went on, but little to write about. Obviously, I am on the Cape again. There is a reason, but it might be a while before I get into details (weeks, perhaps a month or two). I don’t mean to be secretive, but you’ll understand.
Here is me in the cottage on the Cape, being all pensive and all:
I did a lot of writing this week. And I did a lot of editing and formatting. Here is a post about formatting. Yeah, not fun. But the writing art is.
And thinking of writing and formatting, my book Embers will be released next Tuesday, December 4!
I did a walk on the bike trail late Thursday. (I came down to Cape Cod on Wednesday night). I though this was a pretty little spot.
I did a few walks toady. The last one was at West Dennis Beach. Here is a photo from there.
Well, I need to do a few things before getting supper ready. Thanks for visiting and having coffee (or whatever) with me! I hope you are enjoying your weekend. If you have a coffee share I will try to stop by. (I have read about zero blogs in the last two days…)
The original Coffee Share kind of died out, but it has been revived! Eclectic Alli is hosting a coffee share. This week’s share is here. and the link up is here. Come on and join in! Hopefully we can bring it back to its former glory! (Note – it is coming back! A lot of people have rejoined and there are plenty of new faces :) ).
The cottage and the Cape look quite lovely! By the way, I hate formatting too. Keep warm! We’ve had a warm spell, but I hear it will cool down tomorrow here in northern Florida. Have a great week!

Thanks! I do love being down on the Cape. I’m hoping that now that I have the formatting figured out, it will go easier! It will be frigid here for a few days but we are used to it – you keep warm down there! Have a great week!

Lovely photos thanks. Sharing virtual coffee like that is a great idea! I’m back after spending too much time on another kind of virtual sharing on fb. :-)

I like the coffee shares – I don’t always talk about myself on my blog except that once a week. Well, now that I’ve restarted the Weekly Smile, I guess I have twice a week I talk about myself

…nothing wrong with talking about yourself! why?! that’s fine with me! keep doing it. I’m really happy to have found your blog again.

I don’t mind talking about myself occasionally, but i couldn’t do a blog about it,. Well, in ways the entire blog is about me, but I couldn’t write about the things that go on in my life all of the time. Thanks.

well I guess for me it’s a case of shouting “I am” as no one cares and no one hears… “not even the chair” Neil Diamond. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxDyXK93o6g

I can’t watch it at work, but I know the song… I think everyone who blogs does a bit of that – shout out to the wind since the people close by don’t seem to hear.

Greetings for another week, Trent. I like the pensive, windswept look and could imagine you out by the water during a storm. The photos are stunning and really take us into your environment, which is something I really love about blogging. I posted about a fabulous detour i went on to Elizabeth Bay on Sydney Harbour on Friday and I loved walking around the art deco archecture and narrow streets winding down to the waterfront and found a lovely little park to soak in the view and feel the wind in my face.
It’s now Monday arvo here and it’s too hot to think and I feel like a snowwoman slowly melting into my chair in front of the computer.
Hope you have a great week.
Best wishes,
Ro
PS Thought you’d enjoy this interview with Australian Opera singer, Dame Joan Hammond. She’s a fabulous story teller: http://www.australianbiography.gov.au/subjects/hammond/interview1.html

Beautiful spots! I love your coffee pot!

There are many beautiful spots around here – In NH I am surrounded by forests and mountains and at my cottage on Cape Cod I have woods, saltwater marshes, beaches and little lakes. All great places!
I love fresh perc’ed coffee from a real peculator. Nothing else tastes as good (to me). It doesn’t take as long as people think. I usually plug it in and take a shower, but even if I’m showering later, it’s not a log wait.

Thanks for the (whatever)! I’ve been out Christmas shopping all day and I really needed a pick-me-up! Your photo of the beach is really beautiful. The air looks crisp. Enjoy your week and congratulations on the book release.

I’m glad you enjoyed the “whatever” ;) Sounds like you are very much in the Christmas spirit. Hopefully I will be next week. W really don’t decorate as much as most people, though I understand how you can get into it. It was a nice weekend (except today!) Have a great week!

The pictures of the Cape are really lovely, Trent. Especially the one on the bike trail! Glad to hear you are doing well and still writing a lot. I’ve been MIA in the blogosphere for a while, but things are happening! It’s been a rainy weekend in The District, and I just finished making some cookies, which I’m sure my housemates will devour before I have a chance to blink. :)
Also, I’ll take my tea, Earl Gray, in the Rubber Soul mug.

Hi Britta! It’s been a long time. A cup of tea (Earl Gray) in the Rubber Soul mug coming up.
You say “things are happening!” I want to hear ;) Are you going to put a blog post about what you’ve been up to lately? Besides baking? I’m sure those cookies will be gone before you have a chance to blink!
The weekend was nice,if cool, but rain moved in over night and it poured all day. I had to drive home from Cape Cod to NH in the rain, which is never fun.
I hope you have a great week!

Love the pictures. It hasn’t been the best walking weather here because of the cold and the slippery condition of everything. Anyway, glad you found time for coffee. Have a great week.

This entire autumn has been one of the worst for walking around here, but I can always squeeze some in. Today has been pouring rain all day… Hope you are having a good weekend and have a great week ahead!

Hey Trent. Yea – some days or circumstances really do merit something other. My “other” of choice is about 6 oz of Irish cream over shaved ice. I’ll have to treat you to one some time when both customers and the demands of writing both happen to be quiet for a while. I hope your circumstances this time leave everyone healthy, happy and safe.

Thanks for coffee Trent. The sky photos are just gorgeous. I agree formatting is so important but possibly one of the most difficult things to get right. Luckily I didn’t have to for my book because I think it may have been beyond me. Good luck with Embers.

Thanks. My phone does best with these type of sky-full landscapes, so I use it for sunsets. That is a problem with the self-publishing route is that you do everything yourself, or hire someone to do it.
Thanks! Have a great week.

This entire area down here on Cape Cod is great. Despite being a popular vacation spot, there are plenty of isolated little places to walk. Have a great week!

Lovely surroundings. Looks like a quiet and varied place to walk and think and take photographs. Looks like I am late getting to my next meal, also. And so I’ll wish you the best for the coming week!

It is very pretty here, with a wide variety of places from deep woods to popular beaches. I usually go to a more rugged beach, but didn’t have time.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

That sunrise is beautiful. Hot chocolate is a perfect substitute for an early evening drink. 🍻Cheers! Thank you for the invitation, the visit has been so nice.

Thanks. Hot chocolate is great for when it is too late for coffee, but I also like hot spiced cider. Thanks for stopping by!
