The conductor bows, raises his hands
Music flows from the orchestra
Curtains of darkness raises
Fire lights the world’s stage
The sun lifts its head
Shadows depart
renewal
movement
Dawn
Light
New Day
Are you there?
The days lengthen
Lonely night shortens
Is it getting better?
Is the darkness really gone?
Has the new year really commenced?
Will unfolding life really improve?

Written for Colleen’s Poetry challenge. Each week she gives us two keywords, only we must use synonyms only, not the words themselves. This week the key words were “Begin” and “Fresh” This week I decided to try a nonet. Well, no I decided to try a double nonet :)

Yes, I am finding darkness in light ;) The first half was just too boring, so…
Let’s hope so!

In truth, outside of poetry, I am usually an optimist, so I think it will get better :)

Love the metaphor, your imagery, choice of wording … everything in creating this double nonet!

When I get the chance, I love sunrise; and the pre-dawn lights are spectacular. Love the way you used a symphony as the metaphor. This is awesome!
