If We Were Having Coffee on the 26th of January, 2019

Hello and Welcome!  Come on in and I’ll get you a nice mug of a super strong French Roast/Sumatra Roast blend, a cuppa tea, some hot cocoa or other warm beverage.  You’ll need it as it is cold.  At least it is sunny and the wind isn’t strong.  Where are we?  Some may recognize that photo at the top of the post as being on Cape Cod.

First I need to say that the “secret” I was going to talk about this week didn’t happen and hasn’t been rescheduled yet, so I won’t say anything except it does not have to do with health, work, art/writing or anything else like that.

Thinking work, I’ll be heading back to work on Monday.  I am not looking forward to catching up!

Yesterday I took a long, very cold, walk on the beach, a long walk in the woods and went running.  I love Cape Cod ;)  Today I have already been on the beach and will spend all afternoon in the woods.

If you didn’t see my smile last week, last Saturday I went hiking in New Hampshire and visited a small waterfall.

We had a winter storm after my hike.  Not a lot of snow, but a lot of rain at 15 F/-10 C.  Yes, that cold and raining… yes, that mean ice.  It rained all day on Sunday and then on Monday it didn’t get above 0F/-18C.  Yeah, nasty.  OK, we hit a high on Monday of 1 F.  Still, that’s cold, particularly since it was very, very windy.

So today at about freezing, no wind and a lot of sun, it feels hot!  That’s why I am going to spend as much of it as possible outside.

Anyway, that was a hint that I am heading out again ;)  Thanks for stopping by for a coffee and a chat!  If you have a coffee chat I will try to stop by, but I can’t guarantee it.

      i have heard anything from 3 to 10 inches of snow for us tonight ahead of the cold. Then two days of cold. But it is supposed to warm up after it moves out. I can only hope that is correct.

    So crazy when about freezing is hot – but I get it…. such is winter
    And I was just on ally bean’s blog enjoying her snow pics and then get your tasty winter shots.
    The snowy falls is beautiful Trent
    (And I know I am late for coffee – so if there is any left I will take so reheated – on the stove top – and black is fine)

      I actually do like winter, which is good since I live in NH ;) but have an awful house that is super expensive to heat. I don’t do enough winter photography. And the ice-falls was from my phone, not my “real” camera.

    I got a shiver just looking at that frozen waterfall picture. We are supposed to get subzero temps in a day or two. But it will be 40 degrees again by Friday so at least it won’t last long for us. Stay warm!

      I did read on you coffee share that you were expecting the cold weather as well, but I think most of the US is going to get it! And yes, the last I looked after that blast there will be warmer weather. I’m looking forward to it! If you don’t mind my asking, where (generally) do you live? And you too – stay warm!

    Today temperatures 32 degrees celsius not sure what it would be in Fahrenheit I was not paying attention in class when we learnt conversions you multiply by something and divide by something else then carry something and you have no idea what you are doing lol
    I wish I could chill in the fridge like a food recipe

      Tropical indeed! It’s actually a bit above freezing today, but it is supposed to get frigid again later in the week. I’ll take this little heat wave!

    I did see the waterfall photos earlier, they are magnificent!! We have sunny and 65 today. The mornings are in the upper 30’s, but the days are very comfortable. Even in the mornings the sun is so strong that you wear a t-shirt outside. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
