Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get a a large mug of very strong dark roast. I blended several coffees together as an experiment, and it is good! Anyway, I can also get a cuppa tea or other beverage. It is cool but not cold, unfortunately it is raining, so…. And were are we? Some of you may know that the stack of Beatles’ mugs is on Cape Cod.
This is another week were I was busy but I don’t know what to write… Since I’ve been down here on The Cape, I saw an easel, a bunch of osprey, a black crowned night heron (I think) and other such critters. I did a little work at the new place. I walked on the beach in the rain. I guess I look friendly because I had a few people come up and talk to me out of the blue, including a person who led me to where the eagle was. So a nice little stay.
And it is pretty here, as the clouds reflected on Swan Pond in the photo below show :)
Work was busy and satisfying. We’ll see who it goes – it is still work ;)
As some of you know, I write very fast. I’ve been working on a short story for over a week and it is going slow! I only have about 6000 words written after a week – I can usually write that much in an evening. Oh well. I did do a little writing in other areas as well, so not wasted…
And that is about it. I have a lot today so will be in and out all day. Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed the rushed cup of coffee and continue to enjoy your weekend. If you have a coffee share, I’ll try to stop by – I often have problems hitting everything if people post after Sunday evening.
The original Coffee Share kind of died out, but it has been revived! Eclectic Alli is hosting a coffee share. This week’s share is here. and the link up is here.
A tear in the fabric of space-time….

Oh good, I picked the right Sunday to stop by (although it’s already Monday here). I do love your Beatles mugs. Can you do a masala tea?
That pond photo is amazing, Trent!

A masala tea coming up. I’m assuming you want in a Beatles’ mug. have a favorite? (Well, I don’t have Revolver which would be mine.) It’s always nice to see you around – I’ll stop over and see you’ve posted anything new. I really liked that photo – I think I’ve taken 10,000 pictures of Swan Pond…

A good choice. I find that I have stopped by your place recently – I remember your Facebook post. I very rarely use FB any more and since WP doesn’t go there automatically, it is even less than it was. But I’m not quite ready to delete it yet. I’m sure eventually…

I always appreciate your photo work Trent. Count me among those who would have joined you for that walk in the rain.

That’s like a shelf cloud, right? Very cool pic. Glad you enjoyed your time on the Cape. I had total strangers talking to me at the beach this weekend. I think everyone’s just so happy it’s warm enough to be outside! :-)
Thanks for liking my other blog, too. Happy to see you there. :-)

Yes, a cloud shelf. I think it looks like a tear in the fabric of space…. It was good time. i think you are right that everyone is happy that spring is finally here. It makes them a little more social.
I didn’t know that you had another blog until I saw today’s post. Some day I need to join in the music “challenges”.

It does kind of look like that!
My Sunday Song post isn’t actually part of any of the challenges. It’s my own thing.

I feel like I’m standing at the door, knocking and waiting for someone to open it. It has been so rainy and muddy here … and nothing is blooming yet. The birds are beautiful, though, all dressed up in their mating colors. Some of them are halfway to the new colors, so they are molting and they look like bright, feathery unmade beds. The Cape is always beautiful, even in the rain. Have a wonderful week!

That’s odd that you still don’t have flowers – we have them up in NH, and the Cape is looking like spring. But yes, rainy, rainy (we had some snow on Tuesday up in NH!) I’ve enjoyed your bird photos. Have a great week – I hope it becomes more spring-like!

The photo of the pond is wild! Love the sky mirrored! I am enjoying the return of singing birds to our neighborhood. They’ve quit hiding, now that the latest blizzard has passed, and I am hopeful that they’ll soon get back to nest building. Sympathies on the writing. Sometimes the words flow, other times, they just go. Happy that you are feeling good about the new place! I hope that it is welcoming. Best wishes for your week!

I’m glad your getting a taste of spring. We had some snow this week, but it was spring snow, and it stuck for a while on the bright green grass and there were flowers poking through it. Yeah, I thought the clouds reflected on the pond were cool and the photo came out great.
Hope you are having a great weekend and have a good week ahead :)

The picture of Swan Pond is lovely.
I am not a fast writer. 6000 words in an evening would be amazing, but I would be happy with 6000 at the end of the week too!
Thanks for coffee.

Part of it is that I write a lot of “flash” fiction for the blog – I get an idea and start typing and go until the end of the story, if it is 500 words or 5000, and then post it later that day. This story is a little more complex and I keep writing in little fits. I know where but not exactly sure of the path. Most likely a better story since it is taking more thought, but… It won’t see my blog, but if it is good I’ll use it in my next short story collection.
I love watching the different moods of the sky over Swan Pond – I think I have 10,000 photos of it…
Thanks for stopping by :)

It’s raining here too, in UAE. And a few other places too it’s like raining globally. Nice pictures 🙂

It might be a cliche, but I guess I think of UAE as being arid and not having much rain… Maybe it is raining globally. Thanks for stopping by – hope you are having a good weekend.
