Dawn!
A start
So much hope!
The day unfolds
Now we have our chance
The future lies ahead
With a smile we move forward
Knowing we have time to achieve
No worries since we are at the start
Fulfill our dreams in that infinite day
We have used up too much time already!
What, it can’t be past noon already….
We must hurry and finish up
Those grains of sand drain away
The clock devours the day
Where does the time go?
We just started!
No more time
Evening
Dusk

Written for Colleen’s Poetry Challenge. Each week she gives us two keywords, only we must use synonyms only, not the words themselves. This week the key words were the poet’s (me ;) ) choice, so I chose “Begining” and “Consume” This week I decided to do an ethree, well, actually a double ethree.
Time is running out….

I’m definitely past that middle section and wondering were all the time went…

Somehow we’ve managed to fill it.

I like how this turned out. I like “the clocks devour the day”. A nice write.

Hi, Trent! I’ve always felt like I didn’t have enough time to do all the things I want to do. Love your double etheree! :)

Yes, I was thinking about life in general as much as one physical day. OK, time to turn back to younger thoughts ;)

Oh, my gosh! This was a perfect double Etheree for me right now. So much to do, so little time to get it all done! I think you did just fine, by the way… :D

Thanks, Colleen. Funny, I had thought about an hourglass double nonet for the theme, but then decided having the lines getting shorter and shorter fit the mood better.

It does! Great way to show the passage of time and emphasize your theme! ❤️
