Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get a nice large mug of a very strong French Roast, a cuppa tea or some other beverage. Actually, it is afternoon and a little warm (well, more humid than warm), so perhaps a cold beverage would be better. Where are we? You may know that the photo is from Cape Cod.
I spent the week down on Cape Cod. I did work on Monday and a half a day on Tuesday, but had the rest of the day off. There was/is a houseful of people, which is good in ways (it’s nice to have company) but is bad in other ways ( this is the house we are moving into and it is not ready for company!).
I’ve done a lot of work around the house plus getting the other house ready to sell. Busy that way. I have been kayaking a few times in the new location, have walked on the beach, tons of walks and playing with the dogs, entertaining, etc. I watched a 10 year old fish while I tried to take photos of osprey.
Anyway, I have a million and one things to do today. I was just stopping by to say hi, which is double important since I will most likely miss next week.
I hope you are having a great weekend and have a good week ahead!

Pretty good – still in rib recovery mode – sniff – but we had family here for the 4th and it was really special to our heart – something to share in an upcoming weekly smile post….

It sounds like you’re really busy. Thank you for taking the time to have coffee with us anyways. It’s awesome that you’ve taken time to do some kayaking, and playing with the dogs too. I imagine it’s exciting to start living more in your new house. I love taking the time to slowly make my mark on a new home. It usually take me some time to “feel” where everything belongs. LOL. Enjoy the res of your weekend! Thanks for the coffee!

The problem was that there were too many people in the house too early before everything had its place! It was a tough week in that way, but in other ways ti should make getting comfortable that much easier.
I’m going to be away for a week starting Tuesday, so a bit of a blogging break. If I don’t “see” you before I go, I hope you have a great couple of weeks!

Glad you made time for a coffee break. Getting a house ready to sell is such a time consuming job; showings while living in the house can be exhausting. Have a great week!

It was a bit tiring. the good thing is that we are for the most part moved out, so we’ll just have to spruce up and not worry about living in a showroom.
I hope you had a good weekend and have a great week.

I do try to stay busy. In fact, in ways it gets worse from here. Well, almost the opposite – I will be away visiting family for a week and so 100% away from the computer. I had to have coffee with everyone before I went away :) I hope you have a good week.

We’ve had company too and more to come and then we will BE company. It’s summer, the busy time for New Englanders. We have to get everything done before the snow flies.

I am driving back to NH tomorrow and then it is my turn to be company – I’m flying to Ohio Tuesday. Busy, busy. Packing it all in between the snow is always difficult, but this year with all of the rain it seems even worse…

I love reading your Cape Cod posts, Trent. They remind me of my youth when I used to read Sweet Valley High books for girls. A few of those books were set in Cape Cod which is how I knew about it.

Since you read those books, when I say “I went to The Cape”, you know what I’m talking about, unlike some people in South Africa ;) Cape Cod is a great place – I’m not surprised that someone used in as a location in a series of books like that. I spend most of my time in one out of the way corner, but there is actually quite a bit here – the Cape is about 100 KM from the bridge to get on to the tip in Provencetown.
