First, I will not be able to do a Recap next week – I will be traveling. You can still add smiles, though! I might not be able to see them all since I will be away from the computer pretty much all week this week.
I’m in the middle of two vacation weeks. Sort of. I worked last Monday and half of a day on Tuesday and am doing the same this week – a full day of work today, which has been extremely busy! and a half of a day tomorrow.
I spent last week on Cape Cod. We had company, which was good, even though the new place was not ready for company! I did spend time outside and finally got the kayak into the water at the new house – the river is a little farther away than at the old place, but less than a five minute walk with the kayak.
There was watching a nephew fish, walks on the beach, playing with the dogs, hanging by the water, etc. So a good week :)
A week’s vacation was my smile for this week.
What made you smile?

You can join in by leaving a link as usual, but there will be no recap next week nor a new smile. I hope you all have a great week!
Glad you are traveling! Have a great trip. Me too…home from Norway, headed to DC tomorrow. No time to write smiles either, but I will be back late next week after we return.

From the few pictures I saw, a lot of smiles in Norway! I have never been to Scandinavia, but hope to some day. Are you spending time in DC?

Slowly making my return – have been doing some reading and hope to do Friday Fictioneers later today. I’m not sure if I’m going to track down all of the Smile posts from the last two weeks for a recap next week or not, but am glad people have been putting up Smiles :)

I too would be smiling if I was only a 5 minute walk with my kayak to water. Sigh. I can dream 🙂

5 minutes is forever compared to 30 seconds of the cottage ;) I’ll admit, I’m spoiled. It’s difficult to be more than a mile or two from some body of water on Cape Cod, but one of my criteria when house hunting was that I didn’t want to have to put the kayak on the car.

That’s my world 😕 … the challenges of living in the city.

There is a part of me that would love to live in a city, if it was the right city, but another part that enjoys being close to nature

Right now I’d say I have a good mix of the two but admittedly the traffic is slowing killing me.

It is awful… ;) Of course much of the last week (and today) were with an ultra-ADHD/hyper 10 year old that is constantly at 120 decibels… This coming week is visiting my family, so maybe some ADHD kids, but they are all quiet ;)

Cape cod – hope to see some images of that? My view of Half dome in Yosemite Nat. Park, CA, is not only magnificent, but always put a smile on my face.Did one of my first watercolors there, and eventually turned into every year going there for 15+ years , to do hiking (hubby) and I with painting..

In the past I’ve posted tons of Cape Cod photos, but didn’t take many this time – was very busy. I love the mountains but haven’t been to Yosemite since I was a kid. A hiking/painting trip would put a smile on my face!

Cheers to vacation time. For me this week – hmmmm … a fairly typical week. OK – passed up a night of ballroom dance for golf with another couple. Definitely a pleasant Sunday evening.

Does sound like a pleasant evening. I think I mentioned it before, but tomorrow I head out your direction, or at least general direction. My family lives in the Cleveland area.

Depending on the location, about 4 hours … we get to the southwest side in about 3 hrs 20 mins. Safe travels!

You are in Michigan, right? Are you just north of Toledo then? Close to Lake Erie? I grew up in Vermilion.
