I take so many photos and rarely take the time to go through them. I just downloaded about 250 more photos to my computer. Sigh. Some of them are nice, like the ones form the seal watch tour. Oh well, perhaps I will have time to look at them later. But here is a teaser – the photo at the top is of an osprey flying at sunset, the one below is a seal form pretty close up.
I know EXACTLY what you mean…. Compare that with the time we photographed, then took the film to be processed and printed! I love both shots and the look that seal gave you is precious! ;-)

It is very time consuming. Of course back in the day I took very few photos unless I was traveling or doing something special. And then most of the time the prints just gathered dust…. There are times I am really into photography and always find time to keep up with them, and then there is the rest of the time.

Thanks. It was a beautiful sunset and all of my bird photo seems to be silhouettes… ;)

That little seal face is adorable! “Puppy dog of the sea.”

Seals do have cute, puppy dog faces. There is something about the way this one is looking at the camera, though….

Oh, I am in LOVE with your seal! What a cutie and what a great picture. Long lens but sharp as a tack.

That seal is adorable. I just glanced at the other photos. A few are cripsper and clearer, mostly, because it was lighter, but I liked this expression. I use the Oly 70-300 4.8-6.7. It’s a pretty good lens and lives on my camera almost full time, unless I have a need to go wider. Yeah, most of my photos are of wildlife, so…..

The seal does have a lot of character – I usually don’t see the whites of their eyes.

I love seals so much. Many years ago in my 20s, when on holiday, I was honoured with the experience of taking an early morning swim with some rescue seals in their sanctuary pool, and getting to feed them from a great bucket of fish, too. I really should find that old photo of the great and memorable occasion, so I can scan it and post it on my blog.

Seals are great. That sounds like a wonderful experience. I have had seals pop up next to me as I kayak, but they don’t stay for very long – they’ll look and go right back under. I would like to see your photos if you ever get them on your blog.

I think I would have a heart attack if a seal ever popped up beside me while I was kayaking! But then seeing a seal in a fresh water lake in Ontario would be news worthy 😉
Great photo, Trent. She looks like she’s being a little coy with you 🙂

It would be quite remarkable on Lake Ontario…. As far as on salt water, better a seal popping up than a great white ;) Thanks, Joanne.

Both photos, beautiful! The grace of the osprey, the coy glance of the seal.

Thanks, Lizl. I think I have some more detailed seal shots, but I’m with you in liking the seal’s coy glance.
