Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get a mug of very strong French Roast, a cuppa tea or other beverage. We can go out back and sit in the shade, enjoying the sea breeze. It is a beautiful sunny day and isn’t supposed to get too hot. Perfect. Where are we? Some may recognize that photo at the top as being from Cape Cod.
Where to start? It was an ultra busy week at work. just a ton going on.
I had Lions Club meeting/cookout on Tuesday. It is the first one where I acted as club president. I visited friends on the far side of New Hampshire (well, on the coast, as opposed to the edge of the Monadnock region). I had massage. I did some exercise, but the weather interfered in my running schedule (I will run as soon as I post this…) I drove down here on Thursday evening. I usually go on Wednesday, and I think I’ll continue that – there seems to be three times the traffic on Thursdays.
Yesterday evening I sat at one of the local landings and watched the water.
There was a seal jumping out, my guess is getting beneath the fish and swimming straight up to get them. It’s entire body came out of the water.
The water was full of jellyfish. Kind of cool.
So after my run I will enjoy a nice day down here on Cape Cod -there are always a ton of things to do here :) I will try to catch up with any coffee shares later.
The Weekend Coffee share is hosted by Eclectic Ali . This week’s share is here. and the link up is here.
Loved the jellyfish photo, Trent. Quite beautiful. Hope you have a great week.
Best wishes,
Ro

Wow, what a beautiful lake view… and the jelly! Oh, they are so very beautiful. :) I, too, had a very busy weekend. It’s Monday now, and thank goodness I can rest. Have a great week, Trent! :)

It is a great view – that is the Bass River, it is a tidal river, so it changes the flow direction depending on tide. It opens up to the ocean, which is where all of the jellyfish came from. Yeah, jellyfish look cool, I just don’t want to swim with them ;) I hope you are having a restful day and have a good week!

It definitely sounds like you had a busy week. The Lions Club cookout sounds good. I hope you enjoyed your run.

It was a busy week, for the most part a good busy, though I think work could be a little less busy/stressful ;) Lions Club was good, as was my Saturday morning run. Have a good week

Amazing jellyfish photo…I love these coffee posts. I might have to borrow this idea at some point.

Thanks. I took the jellyfish photo at around the same time as the sunset photo, o=so it was pretty dark. The coffee share posts are always fun. Borrowing the idea is fine, I have seen several people with variations on it, but I think joining in with the coffee share is the best way – it’s fun to follow what people are doing week by week.

that jelly fish is super cool – and so is the photo with the nice wood patio set – and I will have tea again today – tea in a coffee mug is just fine (ha jk)
and hope your afternoon run was nice…

The jellyfish were very cool, but there were a lot of them – no swimming there at that time! My backyards, the one in NH (wooded hillside) and on the Cape (photo in this post) are both great. This is a nice place to hang and have coffee. Or tea. Yeah, I will take a photo of a tea cup some time ;) The run was good, but that was at about 8 AM yesterday, not afternoon. I did go swimming (not with the jellyfish!) in the afternoon, but just a super quick dip.
I hope your weekend is going well!

Great jellyfish shot but i wish there was a way to determine its size. I’ve never been stung by one and hope that never changes.

The tentacles were about three foot long. It was one of the bigger ones, so not Portuguese Man of War size, but with hundreds in the water, best to stay dry… I don’t want to get stung either

Beautiful place to be! Jellyfish are interesting to watch outside the water… but only then! Not particularly pleasant swimming with them! ;-)

It is beautiful, but you are right, I am not going to go in the water where all of those jellyfish are…

Such a lovely looking place, Trent. Is that back yard as big and private as it appears to be?

Thanks. We do have a relatively large lot for this part of Cape Cod and there are a lot of large trees. I can see the neighbor’s houses from the backyard, but it is a good size and private. Behind us is a saltwater marsh, so private that way. We don’t own the land down to it,but nobody is going to build.
