If We Were Having Coffee on the 14th of September, 2019

Hello and Welcome!  Come on in and I’ll get you a nice large mug of very strong Dark Roast, a cuppa tea or other beverage.  We’ll go out back. It is a little chilly, though warming, and windy, but the table is relatively shielded. Beautiful. Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being on Cape Cod.

This week has felt like autumn, more like late September than early-to-mid-September.  Yes, we did have that one anomaly, a 90 F day in the middle of the week, but the exception just proved the rule, as it were.  Very odd.  It rained on Monday and Thursday and I rarely am so affected by the weather – I was really down and had zero energy. But the next day (Tuesday and Friday) the sunshine made me feel grand and full of energy.

Work has been busy.  What’s new?

I’ve been working on the rewrite of The Old Mill.  I’m about half way through it.  Sometimes it goes along smoothly, sometimes, not so good. I hit a few rough patches. Any guess on when?  Yep, Monday and Thursday. I actually did a total rewrite of Monday’s efforts on Tuesday…

There is dog play and exercise (no exercise Monday or Thursday, which should be obvious).  I ran just under 5 miles this morning.  It felt great.

Anyway, it is a beautiful day and I have a lot of plans.  Most of them, of course, have to do with me being far, far away from my computer ;)

Thanks for stopping by and chatting! If you have a coffee share, I’ll try to stop by, though don’t expect it during the beautiful day ;)

The Weekend Coffee share is hosted by Eclectic Ali .  This week’s share is here. and the link up is here.

Funny, looking at NH they are saying cooler than yesterday *which was warm) for the middle of the week, but then up to 80 by next weekend! We are getting some color, pretty close to were we should be, but not spectacular yet.

We got back from chilly Canada to a hot and humid Michigan on Tuesday. But a couple days ago a cold front went through and now it feels like fall is right here. Still, my gardens are in bloom (weeds too unfortunately) and I can fool myself that I have a few weeks of summer left.

Today has warmed up a bit and it might be back into the 80s later this week. Kind of odd. My sister is going to be in northern MI (not UP) this week. She said the weather reports were for warm weather. I hope it doesn’t cool down too much for her.

Hope you have a great week, whether it feels like fall or summer :)

I love Cape Cod. I split my time between there an New Hampshire. Well, I am in NH more than the Cape, but I spend a lot of time on the Cape. Glad you enjoyed your visit to my neck of the woods :)

Fall is on Cincinnati’s doorstep, but summer wants to stick around. September is typically dry (and it has been), but we’ve had a string of high temps (high 80s – low 90s) … and the trend will probably continue this week. Guess that gives me opportunity to improve my faulting golf swing.

We are supposed to have that later in the week, or at least up to the low 80s. It has been a cooler than average September, so in ways this last Little hurrah of summer will be nice – I just wish I could stay on Cape Cod for it! Have fun trying to improve that swing…

I do enjoy all 4 seasons and am glad I get to experience them, but Autumn is by far my favorite season. Cool that you are moving someplace that you can enjoy all of the seasons. I hope you enjoy!

Rain doesn’t always get me down, so I am not sure why I was so affected by it this week. Just a huge downer. Glad the weather worked for you, even when it wasn’t behaving. Sounds like two fabulous trips.

Tea coming up… I assume it was a typo and you mean “weather”. I’mnot sure if it was the weather or not, but my mind did not work Monday or Thursday and editing was awful. So, yes, I’m sure it was the rotten weather effecting editing.

I hope your weekend is going well and that you have a great week ahead!

yes – meant weather – darn auto correct
and it was a serious full moon this week – and as you know – that impacts the tides, insect and nematodes – and hey – it can also impact us humans (esp pregnant women) –
and I know some folks healing from parasites and they have to up their protocol a few days before the full moon and a few days after…
anyhow, that could have been part of it –
or maybe you were just tired too – or needed a decompress and pause…
        __
and the weekend is going very well – speaking of rest – has a. lot yesterday –
        :)
        Thanks for the tea
