Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a nice, very strong, dark roast, a cuppa tea or other beverage. We can sit outside and enjoy the cool, but beautiful weather as we look up into the woods behind my house. It is supposed to get quite warm (for late September) today.Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize this photo as being from New Hampshire.
It was a busy week at work. A lot is going on , as usual.
It was a warm week and I did get out a bit, though, of course, I worked. But I went running at least three day this week and walked the dogs every day, and played with the dogs, running like a lunatic up and down the wooded hill behind the house as I followed along with their games. Besides running, I also did my usual weight training exercises.
I went to a surprise birthday party on Sunday. It was very nice.
There were a few trips out to get supplies and things to us to work on the Cape house.
I put a pause on editing The Old Mill but worked on the cover. Oddly enough, I really like what I came up with in the first hour. Usually it takes weeks and dozens of hours of tweaking. We’ll see how it goes….
Well, that’s about it. I need to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great weekend. If you have a coffee share I will try to stop in and chat.
The Weekend Coffee share is hosted by Eclectic Ali . This week’s share is here. and the link up is here.
The buildup of email is so ridiculous this is the first I’ve seen of this post. it got buried under a mountain of politics, news, and advertising. I can’t seem to make it stop, either. Sorry!!!

I have three email accounts, one just for social media. It is always so full I can’t find anything, so I rely on the Reader. That’s why I miss so many of your late night/early morning posts – if I don’t have time to scroll back and hit them, I miss them…

Last week was the spin cycle. This week, so far, is the clean, crisp kind…just hoping it stays that way!

Thanks. I did a winter shot with it in the same location but surrounded by snow instead of flowers :)

Good variety of stuff! Abnormally warm in Cincinnati (through Wednesday). High 80s-low 90s this time of year isn’t normal! Big news of the week here is the retirement of the Cincinnati Reds radio announcer. After 46 years, a local legend – and a Hall of Famer. Shed a few tears as I listened to his last broadcast and watched the post-game ceremonies. Otherwise, retirement keeps me busy.

PS: …. and (as I type) hosting a blog concert featuring Journey.

I might try to stop by later. This might seem odd, but I really liked a lot of bands very similar to Journey, or at least hitting the same stadium rock demographic, but I never listened to them and didn’t know a single person who did. I obviously know their songs from the radio, but I’d be just picking something at random on youtube if I put in an entry.

Plenty of hits still available at this time.

lol, they had quite a few so I’m sure there are. I’m heading out again in a minute, but I’ll at least stop by to see what’s been playing later in the evening.

I think our temperatures will crash Wednesday night into Thursday and go from 10 degrees above normal to 15 degrees below normal for a while. Yow, just no in between! Kind of sad when a legend retires. An end of an era. I hope you are having a great weekend.

Oh yes … back to normal around mid-week. Announcer here is a legend …. and to think the majority of fans here know no other announcer in their life!

After 46 years, I’m sure they don’t!

Sounds fabulous Trent! It is awesome that you manage to get outdoor time every week, in between everything else you do. The temperatures are better here now, but the air quality is so poor that I cannot even take my dog for a walk where we live every day. We’re going on a day trip tomorrow, and I’m very excited about that! Looking forward to seeing your book cover. I worked on my book cover this week :) Enjoy your weekend!

That’s awful about the air quality. My dogs would go crazy without three long walks and some outdoor play time every day, rain or shine. One of the reasons I like New England – outside of Boston the air is usually pretty good, and even Boston is better than a lot of cities. Glad you have plans for a day trip. Looking forward to seeing your cover as well – since photos make up an important part of the book I am sure you are making the cover special.

Air is kind of important. Both my girls, and I like to spend a lot of time outdoors every day. We went to Death Valley National Park yesterday. It was fabulous! Probably my smile this week ;) Happy Monday!

You are great to do all that exercise, I only do a bit of walking and lots of stair climbing at work (choice). I look forward to seeing your new cover. If you would like help with a cover reveal, I am most happy to assist.

I have a problem that my blood pressure is high when I don’t exercise enough, so I have to do some, but then, the more I exercise the better I feel, so it is a positive feedback loop.
Thanks for the offer. If you don’t mind, at some point before the reveal I may ask you to look at a couple of alternatives to see if you like one better than the others.

That is no problem, Trent. You can email me at (edited out)-at-outlook-dot-com.

Our weather hasn’t been nice enough to sit outside so the thought of a nice cool morning with a hot dark roast coffee sounds great. Can’t wait to see the cover you designed; your previous covers have been fabulous. Have a great weekend, thanks for the virtual coffee.

Funny, I was visiting you as you were over here, and I did see that you had sunny but not warm weather, though it was in Spanish ;) I am going to sit on the cover for a while and look later to make sure I still like it. I have no clue as to the blurb yet, so I will most likely do both of those together…
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great weekend.

It sounds like your weather is WONDERFUL right now and like you I will be heading out to enjoy our weather too! Enjoyed coffee this morning with you! Your dogs sound like FUN! I’d love to see photos of them playing! ♥️😉

I’ll try to get some puppy playing photos – I’ve done a few, but since I participate most of the time, I usually don’t have a phone or camera with me. I hope you enjoy the day and have a great weekend :)

Oh that makes sense! Haha, didn’t think of that as it would be difficult to photograph when your playing too. Or just a photo of them after your play time! I’ve seen a photo or two before when you shared, they are beautiful, just fun to see them! 😊🐶 Have a great weekend too!

I’ll try to find a way to get some – when they run and chase each other they are so fun to watch, but it is hard to time it. Hope you are having a great weekend!
