Halloween Stew #Etheree #doubleetheree

Hi
Come in
How are you?
Sit for a bit
I’ll get you a sweet
Give you a nice goody
Mix it up in the cauldron
Wait while I get the recipe
Cipher out the ancient words of lore
Are you beginning to feel sleepy yet?
Don’t worry about this razor I have
Just need some special ingredients
It’s a potion made once a year
Full of intrigue and magic
Sit still while I harvest
Were you using these?
Delicacy
Special brew
Great charm
You

Careful of the witches brew, that human stew. Don’t ask what is on the menu, for you might find that it is you  ;)

Written for Colleen’s Weekly Poetry Challenge.  These week the key Words were Spell and Treat, only we had to use synonyms and not the actual words.  I did a double etheree.

Yes, quite creepy, creepy and fun. The problem is, to take this conversation farther I’d either have to go disgusting into the Hannibal Lecter/Sweeney Todd direction or a totally shift gears and make it adult only, and I’m sure I’d get in trouble either way ;)

No chicken feet, just something they say tastes like chicken. And thinking of chicken, here is what I was originally going to write. Seems a little more harmless by the light of day… maybe ;) – Just relax and lean far back as I get ready for my snack. If you haven’t guess yet my delicious treat, it is you that I plan to eat.

Some light green spirits to soothe the chills as we wait for Halloween thrills? Sure, I’ll pour some in before partaking we begin. The sips of brew will go to to your head, and perhaps stave off any dread. OK, I’ll stop rhyming (for now….) You might see why I held back that comment – it fits the original poem quite well, but can be interpreted, uhm, yeah, oh well…
