Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a nice large mug of a very strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or other warm beverage. It is a little nippy out there, but it will warm up later. And where are we? I haven’t used the photo at the top often, but some of you may recognize it as being in New Hampshire.
I have to say I don’t have time for a long visit. I was just told that I had to go to an emergency School meeting for our town. I have a hair cut appointment today. I haven’t been able to run in almost two weeks and today was the day I was supposed to run, but right now I’m not sure if I’ll have time. I hate that it is dark by 5!
Anyway, I had a pretty busy work week but not awful. I had massage on Wednesday. I spent a lot of time reorganizing my little studio. I did normal things like play with the dogs and walk them. I cooked, ate, cleaned up after dinner, etc. I started the raking. I was planning on continuing today, but don’t know if I’ll have time. Maybe I will and just not do the other 1001 one things I had planned for the afternoon.
OK, the studio reorganization was the big one. I’ll talk about that later…
Anyway, sorry to be so short, but I am late. I hate suddenly having 2 1/2 to 5 hours of my taken away when I already had plans! I have heard rumors about this meeting that make it sound like it will be ugly and it may stretch on and on….

Getting in a bit late here. Went home for the weekend. I hope the meeting wasn’t too bad and that you got a little bit of running in. I envy you that ability. I’m hoping in the spring to replace my bicycle since we now live in a place where there’s a place to store it. I used to ride between 15 – 25 miles a day all told. Hope you have a great week, Trent!

Thanks. When I wrote my coffee share post I did not want to go, but I am glad I did. One of those community service things we need to do :) It is great to connect with so many authors out here in blogosphere. It’s been a very busy weekend, but good. I hope yours was good as well and that you have a great week ahead.

Hang in there Trent. I’m not fond of this type of surprise either but dealing with it is part of this whole adult-thing – which still does not make me like things like this. Hope it went better than expected.

The meeting went a lot quicker than expected, so i was still able to get a lot done today. I had sat down to write my coffee post and was told not only that i was going (which I didn’t know) but we were leaving in ten minutes – ugh, not a good thing if the day is planned, but it all worked out and I’m glad i went.

It was a busy day… The meeting was a budget meeting for a warrant article for funding. Anyway, it went a lot quicker than expected so I did get my run in ;) I hope you are having a great weekend :)

Good luck with the meeting! Sorry your Saturday sounds so hectic. I do think I have some papers to grade, but I will take my time. I need to start editing on my work in progress, Malachi. The increased darkness makes it a good time for writing or editing. Just have to make myself do it. I hope you find a moment to relax. Take care.

The meeting went better than expected. I did get a lot done today, which is great. I do need to get back into editing! I finished the second draft of my WIP over a month ago, had a beta reader look at it, and need to start the third draft…. I hope you got some time to do your grading and that your weekend is going well :)

The school budget meeting didn’t take as long as feared, so I did get a run in and a bunch of stuff done. I still have a lot to do this weekend, but it’s a relief to have this stuff out of the way. I hope you are having a great weekend :)

No, it wasn’t, thanks. School budget meetings can last several hours, but this was just one issue, and discussion lasted less than an hour. I ended up getting a lot done today :)

Why would a school meeting turn ugly, Trent? and why would you attend one? It gets cold quickly where your are.

It’s about funding and people’s tax dollars. I am 100% pro-education, though there needs to be accountability, but there are those who think a penny of public money spent on public education is a penny too much… Small New England towns are pure democracy – everything is brought in meetings, people discuss it, then there is a vote. I won’t say the particulars on this case, but I was told I needed to attend, and with a couple of hundred people in attendance and the issue being won by less than ten votes, maybe I did need to be there…
