After the Solstice

Cold wind on the sand
Early sunset lights water
Ice under surface
As land sleeps through the season
The sea celebrates winter

          I just checked – Sunset on Cape Cod on Christmas is 4:15, so the sun is pretty low at 3:30 in late December… It was actually someplace between 3:30 and 4, but still early! But then, we have those long summer days to make up for it :)
