Yes, I am alive! For the last three weeks I have only done my Smile posts and I think one other post. I have also almost completely stopped reading blog posts. This was not an intentional break!
Work has been, and continues to be, completely insane. A huge amount going on. I do a lot of my blog-reading on breaks, so if no breaks, no reading.
I have also been very busy editing The Old Mill. If I am in front of my computer for non-work related reasons, I have been editing, not writing new posts.
Daylight Savings Time has thrown me for a loop, worse than usual. Part of it that every animal in the house seems to want to sleep right on top of me every night, so I have been getting about half as much sleep as usual.
I try to spend as much time outside as possible. There have been some weekend days that I have been outside for 6 hours (not straight, over the day), which might seem like a lot until you realize that I spent 18 hours inside on those days!
I have been trying to spend a little more time with my musical instruments, though not nearly enough time! I need to block out two hours a day for it, but I don’t have two hours a day for anything right now…
Life has been busy in general. I can’t say what, but I am constantly doing. Until this recent “social distancing”, I had something every day. I’m an extreme introvert – I had having something every month ;)
Anyway, I will try to get back into it. Maybe…
Brief note – I am an extreme Introvert that telecommutes full time. People talk about this social distancing thing. To me it sounds like seeing and talking to more people in any given day than I normally do – Go away, I want to be alone ;) I’d really be enjoying it if I wasn’t so busy.

yea – this social distancing. It was so nice to have something forced on us that I actually like for a change.
On the other hand, it sounds like what you miss with human contact is more than consumed by your critters. Good thing you don’t have to make small talk with your furry friends.
That was one funny scene.

Truthfully, I have had to make few changes and am now even talking to more people (outside of work) than usual – everyone has to stop and talk about what is going on… Hope you are doing well.

Lol, I agree, Trent–this social distancing thing is basically like how I usually spend my free time anyways as an introvert. :)

A crisis custom made for introverts ;) Are you doing on-line or remote teaching teaching now?

Yes, I’m continuing to teach online, which has been a really great way to keep busy and not be so completely isolated. I’m technically supposed to be working for my day job, too, but my lead teacher has given me no responsibilities in helping to navigate this new at home learning we’re supposed to be providing for our students, so all I’ve been doing is checking my e-mail three times a day as was instructed by school admin.

Glad you are still teaching online. Perfect for today’s “social distancing”. I would think the lead teacher in your day job would want to use you as a resource since you have experience with on-line learning.

I could write multiple paragraphs about how I don’t feel properly utilized or valued by my lead teacher and never really have, but given that this is a public space that anyone who has a computer can access, and also given that I really don’t want to start ranting on your blog, I’ll just say this:
Yes, Trent, you have a very good point. :)

Glad to hear from you and figured you’ve been really busy. It’s getting pretty crazy and ya, nice you don’t have to worry about the social distancing. I totally understand the reasoning for it but boy, has it thrown our lives upside down. Praying my job stays open. It’s considered an essential business right now since it’s a Veterinary Lab. The future is so unknown, feels soooo uneasy. I’m glad we have this forum, and it’s nice to stay connected! 😊😉🥰

Thanks. The only thing that is certain is that things are going to change. Hopefully when all is said and one, it will be for the better…. Talking on line is always good :) Have a great week!

Thanks. I’ve meant to put up a status post for a while, but today is a little less insane, so… I hope you are doing well :)

Yes, thanks. A lot of kind gestures by neighbors. So far crisis is bringing out the best in people here (except in the grocery store).

It’s bringing out the best in the neighborhood, until that neighborhood becomes FaceBook! – The divisions today are the most stark I have seen them.
