Dog Walking, 2020
Yesterday when I had Idina and Fiyero out for a walk I saw someone coming towards me with their dog. I changed directions and took a side street. Sure, it might have been OK, but Idina sometimes acts like a mad thing, particularly if the other dog is a female. But as I walked the other way, I started to think about Social Isolation and its effects on dog walking in 2020. I hope you got a smile from this little cartoon :)
(Note – I just posted a slightly tweaked version of the cartoon)

Loved the cartoon and yep… very familiar with this! ;-) Stay safe, my friend!

This does give me an excuse to avoid people as I walk the dogs that is better than Idina sometimes getting a little aggressive around other dogs, particularly female dogs. lol. Thanks. Hope you are doing well. Stay safe and healthy :)

Exactly! Especially some people [women mainly with small dogs] who feel the urge to come closer so that our dogs socialize! And not surprisingly, small dogs think they’re big bosses and Hera doesn’t take that attitude kindly! ;-) We are well, at home. :-)

I did enjoy the cartoon. So true – even without corona oppressing us.

I always have done the avoidance thing as I walked, now I can blame it on social distancing instead of Idina occasionally being a tad bit aggressive when on leash ;)

It’s a lovely cartoon. It is very difficult keeping distance from our dog walking friends but it might save lives 💜🌹

Thanks! I can see dog walks. Meeting friends outside is the best way, but still stay six feet/a couple of meters away….

Yes indeed, we must still be careful 💜

Well done with the cartoons, Trent, they are very good. I seem to be one of the only people in the world loving being isolated. I do have my mom, dad and sons here and Terence when he comes home removes his mask, disposal gloves and after a shower. I am a natural loner and am getting so much done without all the socialising that happens in the office. I have all my WP friends so life is great.

Thanks, Robbie. Actually, I am an extreme introvert that teleworks full time – this social distancing hasn’t really changed my life much, except for a few cancelled meetings. Also, I’ll have to get take out for my once a week pizza night instead of eat in. Other than that, few changes – and I’ve even been on WP more today than the last few weeks (I’ve been super busy), so starting to see those WP friends again is good :)

It hasn’t changed out lives very much except for wondering why everyone is hoarding toilet paper. What is it with the TP?

I saw meme on Facebook yesterday – “Trump is so full of shtt that the entire country has run out of toilet paper”. Makes sense to me ;)

I suspected that you did most of your work remotely, Trent. It is nice that you don’t have to make lifestyle changes. It makes it all easier. Its nice to see you back on line.

I feel lucky that I have to make so few changes for this time of “social distancing”. Thanks – still busy so not 100% back, but trying to get there :)

IKR? I was alone in the office all day, but at 6pm someone got on the elevator with me and I was all yikes another human…

…and in confined spaces! Yikes! lol, I know we have to take it serious and be as careful as possible, but just how far our thoughts have gone in the last week or two! (I hope you used a pencil or pen to press the elevator buttons…)
