Hello and Welcome! Come on in, or, uhm, let’s go out into the back yard and I’ll get you a large mug of super strong Dark Roast, a cuppa tea or a mug of hot cocoa. It is very windy and cool, and still wet, but it is nice to be out, isn’t it? And at least the wind isn’t screaming, as it was the last few days! Where are we? Some may recognize that Edward Gorey mug as being from Cape Cod.
Yeah, I drove down to “The Cape” on Wednesday. I have not seen a person from closer than 100 yards/meters and haven’t been to any stores, so I am not a risk ;) Or at risk. It has rained since I have been here and the wind has howled continuously. It is wet and cold and the dogs are going crazy – they don’t mind the wet and cold as much as they HATE the noise of the wind! I understand. I saw 4 foot tall waves on the Bass River (over a meter)! This is not a big river! Even though the tide was out, the waves were crashing into the parking lot.
Yeah, April showers and all of that. Looking forward to those May flowers!
It was a tough work week. I stayed after a few days and so thought I could leave early on Friday. Nope, the director of my unit scheduled a meeting for the end of my day… Oh well. At least I AM working! And being paid.
I feel I have gotten less done this week than I have in a long time. In many ways my life has not changed much, but with the awful weather all week, well, I’ve been stuck inside. And then, while I love being on The Cape, a lot of my “indoor things”, like synthesizers, are up in New Hampshire. I am still on a little writing break. Oh well.
Today is supposed to be a bit less wet (tomorrow will be much better), so I need to figure out a way to get out and get the dogs out without running into a million people who have also been sequestered. Maybe not easy, but we’ll try…
I hope you are doing well. Is staying home 24 x 7 driving you crazy yet? Been exercising? Staying healthy?
I need to get moving. It was nice seeing you, even from 6 feet away! If you have a coffee share, I’ll try to stop by for a visit.
