Hello and Welcome!  Here, I’ll put a towel down on this seat so your behind doesn’t get wet.  There are still a few flakes in the air, but I think the precipitation has stopped.  Yes, you are in the right coffee share, it is May 9.  No, there was no accumulation, it was rain all night and flurries all morning, but not a flake stuck.There, comfortable?  I will get you a nice large mug of super-strong dark roast or a piping hot cuppa tea or some hot cocoa. It is pretty, even if wet and cold, with the new leaves that special  early May Green.  Oh, where are we?  Some may recognize that photo at the top as being from New Hampshire.

So I came back from Cape Cod on Sunday – it was a gorgeous day and I spent all day outside!  But then, well, as the week went on, it got cooler…  I still spent time outside, and ran on Tuesday and Thursday.  Of course the dogs need a huge amount of outside time as well…

And I worked this week – remember, I telecommute full time.

I did some writing and editing.  I played a bit of music, but no recording.  I read. I did other things like that….

Hmmm, now that I think about it, I can’t remember a whole lot about this week.  Where did it go?  Oh well.

I have about a million and one things planned for the weekend, come rain, snow or high waters…   OK, so I am mixing my metaphors again.  Sue me ;) Anyway, I have no idea if I’ll get everything done, but I will try.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you didn’t get too cold or wet.  Yeah, I know, the flurries picked up again…  If you have a coffee share I will try to stop by and visit, but no promises – lately I have been staying away from my computer for most of the weekend and may do that again today.  By Monday, it is hard to go back and read old posts.  But I will try.

    Hi Trent,
    Great to catch up and thanks for the hot chocolate. It’s funny. I think of your place and Autumn leaves at this time of year, even though it’s Spring over there and Autumn here. There aren’t many Autumn leaves near us here. However, we saw quite a few beautiful trees in Sydney on Sunday when we visited my parents for Mother’s Day.
    Glad to hear you’re social distancing. I’m not sure what’s going on over in the States but it’s alarming both in terms of how your fearless leader is conducting himself and also some protesters who weren’t doing much good either. We had a few protesters here on the weekend who don’t want lock down but very minimal. Few people roaming through the shopping centres in crowds too. Can’t understand it. I’m proud of how Australia’s going and hope we can keep it up now that things are relaxing.

      I’m glad you were able to visit your parents for Mother’s Day.

      We are very split here. There are a lot who are doing everything they can to help, and I think the majority are behind them. but then there are the far more vocal bunch who feel that their selfish short term wants outweigh the public good, and, unfortunately, one political party here is 100% behind them. It is very depressing, but hopefully the people who really do care about other humans win out :)

        It must be so frustrating. The image we’re getting of America over here is very unflattering, although we can differentiate between Trump and the general run of people too. He’s in a league right of his own!! I think he has a sort of Michael Jackson complex where you get these very successful people and they either get surrounded by Yes people or they inflict their opinion on everyone around them. So that when they go way off kilter, no one can or will stop them and they become caricatures of themselves.
        However, Michael Jackson wasn’t President and he wasn’t President at a time when it really mattered either. At least, you have the state governors and it seems he’s deferring the decision-making to them, which makes sense in many ways. Each state has different risks and infection rates. Some people here call for national uniformity but it’s the same here although aside from a hot spot at a meatworks in Victoria, and a nursing home in Sydney we’ve almost got it contained atm.
        Hope you have a great week and get through the work load. As you might recall my husband works in IT for a university. He’s working from home and actually busier atm and working six days some weeks.

          The big problem is, so many people are support him for whatever reason, and there are a few large “news” sites that spew pure propaganda with no regard to facts, or people’s health, as long as it supports Trump (I’ll blame Australia for one, since it was started by Rupert Murdoch ;) (I know Australia doesn’t want to be blamed for him…)). Anyway, it is hard to listen to, and I am glad other places don’t think it is our entire country that is going crazy, just the few being misled by the Orange One.

              I’m kind of depressed that only 76% of Americans feel positive about kittens ;) It is a great graphic and does prove that the idiots storming state capital buildings with machine guns are in a tiny minority….

    Hey Trent, as we should expect you are getting much more brutal weather than we do in out part of California but there are plenty of downsides to make up the difference. I’m weeks behind on my blog reading due to work and life but hope to get caught up some today and look forward to kicking back with some of your work. Have a great week.

    Thank you for the coffee! I do not mind the cold, it is currently raining here, and have been raining all day. I like the rain, but appreciate that it is raining in the weekend, so that I can be outside with the kids at work more easily this coming week. We are expecting sun next week. I hope that you have a both productive, and relaxing weekend!

      It has been cool all weekend, cool and very windy, but at least the rain and snow ended. That is a great way of looking at it, that the rain over the weekend instead of during the week means you can take kids outside. I hope your weekend is going well and that you have a wonderful week ahead :)

    We didn’t get the snow, but I did go out in the pouring rain to take some (of the last) spring tulip photographs. The low temperatures for Sunday and Monday are expected to be in the 20s.

    Going out with the dogs sounds like fun for you and them. We walked ours around the short block (first time together in years) without any disasters. May try it again. The Scampers really enjoyed the change in scenery and aromas. :D

      Despite the snow, it stayed above freezing here, though it may have dipped below at higher altitudes around here since I saw several snow photos from people who live 5 miles away.

      My dogs do love going out for walks and to play. You can see the happiness in their eyes. I’m sure Scampers did enjoy the change of scenery and the new scents involved :)

    Snowed here today, too.
    There’s a new tent city up the street from me…. about 25 tents. A few are made from blankets.
    At least I got brave enough to venture out to find street art. I obeyed all suggestions… wore a mask, carried hand sanitizer and distanced. Sigh!

      Yes, I have doggies, who have me wrapped around their paws and can get me to do anything, like run up and down the hills in the woods with them as they play and take more walks every day than 95% of the canine population get ;)

      A tent city in this awful weather doesn’t sound good. Hopefully they can either find better shelter or warmer weather arrives.

      I like being in the middle of nowhere so I can get out an walk and easily keep my social distance. Some of the better hiking trails are closed because their parking lots were getting congested, but there are woods around my house, even though I am in a village.

        It sounds great where you are!
        The puppies sound wonderful, and are keeping you healthy and happy!
        Crazy, but I’ve never been afraid of the crime in big city streets, walking in alleys at night etc., but I can see those dangers.
        I can’t see the invisible beast, so I have some fear.
        Good news, the daytime alleys are barren of humanity, compared to the streets. I actually feel safest in the alleys.

          I do like being out close to nature and the dogs really do keep me young. As to cities, I do love being in a city, but I would not love living there now during lock down! Great that you’ve experience little crime. Also funny that the “scary” back alleys feel the safest, at least during the day. I’m sure you see more street art following those paths as well.

            Yes, and I’m hoping to get out again in about 10 days. Just need a lousy day, so I’m more alone, and figure where to go. I won’t take public transport, yet. Germ Ride!

    We’re having our first really warm day today. It’s 10 in the morning and already 75°. We are supposed to get to 85° and I don’t don’t it. It is breezy, or actually windy, so it doesn’t feel as hot. If course, we’ll be in the low 60s with thunder storms and rain by Monday! Enjoy your weekend!

      We had a couple of 70 degree days last week, but nothing close to 80 forecast yet. After the almost record cold today, it will be closer to normal later in the week. Hope your weekend is going well and that you have a wonderful week ahead :)

    Enjoy the brisk weather. We’ve been in the high 80’s although last night it got down to 63. Bbrrr …
    Sunny and bright day today – Saturday. Hope to get out for a walk. Tomorrow is Mother’s Day so I plan to visit the new Sen garden that was created close to where I live.

      Did you get much accumulation? People just a few miles from me, up hill in Temple, posted pictures of the snow covered ground – glad it wasn’t that bad down her in Wilton!
