Hi all! I hope you had a good week.
The big thing this week is that Spring has finally arrived! This year spring was colder and wetter than usual. OK, Spring in New Hampshire is never great, but this was worse than that. It started to warm up on Wednesday and since then it has felt like May! Yay!
I talked about it in my coffee share post this week, but another smile is the run I did on Saturday. I had been stretching my runs out a little, and did a new route on Saturday. OK, it was an old route that used to occasionally years ago. It isn’t much longer than what I did the two runs before (about 5.2 miles/8.4 km), but it starts with a 2 mile/3 km uphill that peaks out at over 900 feet (275 m) – a 525 foot (160 m) climb from where I started. It might not seem much, but, yeah, that is quite the climb! Also, it took my to a local high point. There was a great view of Temple, Pack Monadnock and North Pack Mountains. In fact, I think this is the highest point east of those mountains, so the view was fantastic! A neighbor told me that people often go there to watch the sun set over the mountains and it can get quite congested on a pretty weekend evening. Anyway, I will be getting that view a couple of times a week when I am in NH, until I decided to stretch the run again….
So that is my smile for this week, the return of good weather and a great run with a super view.
What made you smile?
Come on, I’m sure you smiled at least once last week. Why don’t you share it? I hope you can join in!
Here is list of “rules” and guiding ideas. If you don’t have time to read it right now, just remember that this is an exercise to spread positivity. Don’t smile about the misfortune of others. Don’t smile in a way to excludes others. Make sure a 12 year old can read it.
To join in, write a post to share your smile and then leave a comment on this post with a link to your smile. Or, if you prefer, do a pingback to this post (pingback = have a link from your post to this one) (Note – pingbacks have been very inconsistent – please leave a comment :) ). You can post any time until next Sunday evening (to be simple, I will say midnight GMT, which is 7 PM Sunday for me). Next week I will compile all of the Smiles and do a separate post of them on Monday morning just before the smile. (I will shoot for around 7 AM EST).
