If We Were Having Coffee on the 25th of July, 2020

Coffee Share new Hampshire in the Summer

Hello and Welcome!  Come on over to the table and have a seat.  Why don’t you take a seat looking into the woods?  Sure, the hill looks like a huge wall of green right now, but if you look closely you can see detain ;)  And there are flowers closer at hand.  The hummingbirds make frequent visits, unless I have my camera…  Comfy?  OK, I can get you a strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or other beverage.  It is warm right now, so maybe something cool.  Where are we?  Some of you may recognize the picture at the top as being from new Hampshire.

It has been a hot July.  We had a slight respite the last couple of days, but it is getting warm again.  It will be over 96 F/36 C on Monday, but with super high humidity so a “feel like” temperature ten degrees warmer.  I’m ready for autumn!

It was a typical work week.

I did make it out running on Wednesday and Friday despite the heat and also exercised on Thursday.  Monday and Tuesday were just too hot to move at all.

The dogs hate the heat.  They will go in the woods which is cooler, but don’t play and don’t stay long.  Walks are very short so I have to go out by myself to walk without them.

Last night I finally made it out for a bit of comet hunting.  I’m pretty sure I saw it, but no photos :(  There were a ton of people were I was – they all had the same idea of where to go, I guess.  It was very hazy, so it was hard to make out too much, but, I’m pretty sure it was it…

It’s funny, the week seemed so busy, but there is little to talk about! I do enjoy a lot of things about summer, though I am not a hot weather person!  I like the life and the green, but would rather have an “average” New Hampshire summer instead of this one, which is a little warm…

Oh well, enough about the weather ;)

Anyway, I do have a lot to do today, including mowing the lawn (last week it was the lawn on Cape Cod).  Thanks for stopping by!  I will be in and out all day, so if you do have a coffee share I most likely will be able to make it.

Have great weekend :)

The coffee share is hosted over on Eclectic Alli.  The link to join is here.

Trent, It’s fantastic that you saw the comet. It’s hot and humid today and tomorrow where I live, too. By Tuesday it should be back to more comfortable weather. Have a great week ahead!

It sounds like it is really hot where you are, with the humidity and everything. I am impressed that you re able to get out as much as you do! June was hot here, but July have been cool. It’s been 68-70F here this week. Today we are expecting a cloudy 75F. I enjoy being able to be out moving around. I am going to try to pick some red and black currants today. Haven’t had that in like 20 years! Thank you for the coffee :)

I think I want to move to Sweden, at least for the summer! That sounds perfect to me. I try to avoid the doing too much strenuous on the hottest days, but I have acclimated. Might not enjoy it, but It is livable :)

Like your new cup. The air up here has been not only hot, but also not very good and for an asthmatic, a bit difficult for moving around. We don’t have as many birds as usual, probably because there’s so much to eat in the woods. It’s bull of raspberries and blackberries as well as tons of acorns. And aside from the feeders, i toss black sunflower seeds over the railing. The squirrels love these seeds because they don’t have to climb to the feeders and eat upside down.

I think iced tea is my drink of choice especially with the heat! I know what you mean about the hummingbirds and the camera, wish animals and/or birds were more cooperative! 🤣 Stay cool, or maybe I should say try and stay cool! And hope you have an enjoyable weekend! 🙂

I often do hikes and paddles without my camera in the hopes I will see more wildlife ;) Sometimes it works… Today turned out warm but comfortable. it will be the next few days that might be a bit much. i hope your weekend is going well and that you have a good week ahead :)

99 is the kind of temperature that will drive me to the nearest AC unless it’s paired with near zero humidity and even then I may be caught standing in front of the frig with the door open if no one’s looking. . . Have a great day Trent.

It will be one of those days. I will have the AC running in my office, but the rest of the house doesn’t have it – I’ll try to get my dogs to stay with me while I’m working…. Some ice cold water on the feet and neck always does the trick, no matter how hot it is.. I hope you are having a great weekend.

I just checked and they changed the forecast – they are now saying 99 on Monday! It hit 97 a week ago. It does get into the 90s in July here, but I think we are getting more of those 90 degree days than usual, and far fewer of the nice cool nights we are used to.

Hope your weekend is going well. have a great week!
