The lines always curve
Rounded made straight and angled
Paths always loop back
We might think our debts are cleared
But we are always ensnared

This was written for Colleen’s Weekly Poetry challenge. This week we were given two key words, only we had to use synonyms for the words, not the words themselves. the words were circled and squared. I chose a tanka.
Very nice. Love the the photo.

Thanks, Vashti! I didn’t try, but I noticed some of the stripes on the beach match up with some of Fiyero’s stripes :)

So very true, both literally and metaphorically! That feeling of going around and around again never seems to stop.

Thanks, Diana. Funny, I did not think of that word when I wrote it, but the idea of karma was what I was thinking about.

I wasn’t sure, but that’s what struck me. Eventually what goes around, comes around. :-)

Well said! The August Poetry Challenge entries are up on Fake Flamenco today. The form this month was nonet, inspired by your wonderful tree poem.

Thanks, Rebecca. I did see your nonets earlier. I feel honored that my tree nonet inspired you :) Of course, I only wrote mine in one language ;)
