Hello and Welcome. Let’s go back and sit down here and enjoy the breeze. It is a little cooler and less humid than it has been, but the breeze still feels great. The noise? Oh, yeah, there are people working on the house and barn right now. Those big bundles are siding shingles, but they still have prep-work. We can ignore the workers and I’ll get you a nice large mug of very strong coffee, some tea or some other beverage. It is getting later and warmer, so I can get you something cool if you would rather. Were are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from Cape Cod.
This week has been pretty good. There were a few very hot days, but this has been a hot summer, and it hasn’t been too out of bounds for August. One good thing is that we had a little cooler weather and the nights aren’t bad, so I won’t complain too much. I will say that there are reasons I live in New Hampshire and Massachusetts instead of Florida!
Work was pretty busy. i had a lot of meetings late in the day, so the afternoons were crazy. Oh, I put up a post about my day job. You can check it out here if you haven’t already seen it. It will let you know a little bit about what I am doing when I say that I was busy at work.
OK, I will admit something. I have been doing my massage recently, including this week. I’d be a mess if I didn’t. The number of new Covid-19 cases in my town has been at zero for months. My region has been very low. NH had a string of days this week with zero new cases, and the majority of cases we have had have been in two or three cities. My risk is about zero, but there is still a risk. Our state is open for massage therapy and my massage therapist follows all of the precautions, so, yeah, I’m not a mess: Thanks Dottie. Oops, sorry, thanks Anaya! :)
I drove down to The Cape on Wednesday and worked from here the last two days. The exterior painting is almost complete, though he found a few nasty, rotted places, so the people doing my barn are also doing a little work on the house. A lot of work has been done on the barn, like a new roof, a new sill on one side, some wood replaced, new windows and other stuff. They are almost to the point of putting up the new shingle siding.
However, a few issues popped up inside :( Oh well, I needed to get some people in here anyway, I just need to do it sooner.
I got up very early this morning and went running. Later I went kayaking. It was as rough as I’d ever seen it, but it is still great to get out, even if a little scary.
And now I have dogs whining at me because they think they need to go outside ;) OK, they were last out at 6:30 and it is now 10:30, so four hours, so I guess they do need to go out.
With that, I am going to stop and mosey on.
Thanks for stopping by! If you have a coffee share, I will try to stop in and say hi.
Have a great weekend.
