If We Were Having Coffee on the 12th of September, 2020

Hello and Welcome! Sit down and enjoy the great view into the woods while I get you a large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or other beverage. It is more than a little nippy this AM, so you need something piping hot! I have on jeans for the first time since early-June! And real socks!! OK, Thursday it got to 85 F/29 C while last night it got down to 46 F/7 C, so it went from summer to fall pretty much over night! It is a beautiful day and will warm up a bit, though will feel like autumn. And where are we? Some of you may recognize that photo as being from New Hampshire.

I came back from Cape Cod on Sunday. Since Monday was a holiday and I left very early, the traffic was almost non-existent, though what was out there was ultra-aggressive. I spent a lot of time outside for the rest of the day on Sunday and did a long walk in nearby woods on Monday.

Work was busy, but not as bad as I expected after being gone for a week. I had very few meetings and things went smooth.

I had to go to the dentist on Thursday to have the filling I recently got repaired :( Oh well, it was relatively painless, and free, but with the drive, ate two hours of my day.

Let’s see, there were walks, walks with the dogs (who are whining for one right now), playing with the dogs (on the cooler days, they want to be out playing constantly!), exercising, running, etc. This week my brother “tagged” me on face book to do a challenge to do 25 pushups 25 days in a row for PTSD awareness. Today will be day 3 and I am still trying to figure out the camera part (not as easy as you would think). OK, my form is terrible, so I did 27 yesterday to make up for it.

That is about it. I will be heading outside with the dogs soon. I will also, most likely, go someplace for a hike a little later.

Thanks for stopping by! f you have a coffee share, I will try to stop in and say hi.

Have a great weekend.

The coffee share is hosted over on Eclectic Alli.  The link to join is here.

I’m not sure which is worse, Trent…the dentist or the push-ups?!! I love those yellow flowers you have there. We have them growing abundantly here, and they’re probably classed as a weed but they’re so bright and beautiful. They make me smile.
Our son has exams this week. We are more stressed than he is and he seems to have gone into holiday mode already. I hate to think about what his marks are going to be like, but we’re thinking he seemingly needs to learn the hard way.
I feel like a bit of a thief stealing your sunshine as we move into Spring here. I sure hope we don’t get a repeat of last Summer’s fires. They were a shocker and very tragic with the incredible loss of wildlife.
Anyway, I’m late to bed and had better head off.
    Best wishes,
    Rowena

Don’t worry about stealing sunshine for your Spring – Autumn is my very favorite season! Yeah, with the fires on our west coast, people have been thinking about your fires this year. Just so much has burned in 2020!
I am terrible with flower names and have no idea what they are. I think weeds, but I like them :)
The pushups have been getting harder every day instead of easier! I hope it turns around soon (actually, yesterday, day 5, was OK up to 10, and then I started to feel it, better than starting out bad on days 3 and 4!).
Hope your son’s exams go well :)
      Thanks for stopping by.

Even the dentist visit wasn’t that bad (quick, a little uncomfortable as opposed to painful, and it was over), so, yes, a good week :) I hope you had a good week as well and are having a wonderful weekend.

It sounds like a great week to me..maybe except the dentist part, but if it was relatively pain-free maybe that was ok? Playing with the dogs always sounds like a fabulous time. I miss my Gretchen so much. I think about that every day, but I just can not justify having a dog right now, while being gone such a big part of the day in the weekdays. It just wouldn’t be fair to the dog. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and thank you so much for the delicious coffee!

Dogs do need a lot of social interaction. As you said, it’s not fair when we leave them all day. And then there are people who recommend crating them all night, so these poor pups only get a few hours a day out and about with their humans. But then, playing benefits me as much as it does them :) Thanks for stopping by!

Fall is a favorite. Especially at the beginning of it when the summer temperatures trying to let go. I’m not a fan of the cold, so fall and it’s beautiful colors brings a vibrancy that winter doesn’t. One thing I miss are long walks. It’s hot all year where I am, so I’ll just be dreaming of it all.

I understand, I do try to get long walks in no matter how hot, but there are times that is dangerous… The cool weather is perfect for walking and hiking, and I try to do a lot as the temps dip. For me, I enjoy the cold more than the extreme heat, so I enjoy this part of the world. The color is a plus :) Hope your weekend is going well.

The cooler weather is soooo welcome, and I’m a little jealous because you’ll be seeing Fall coming in the changing leaves! Something you have to look for here. It’s around but not as pronounced! I do thank you for the coffee from NH. Glad your work week went smoothly! I can appreciate that for sure! Enjoy your weekend with those energetic dogs!! ❤️🐶🤠

I do love the fall foliage, and it is great here in NH. The leaves change over the course of a couple of months, so it is a kaleidoscope of colors for quiet awhile :) I am sure you are ready for the cooler weather! You do not need to see any triple digits again this year! Hope your weekend is going well :) have a wonderful week.

Glad your work week went better than expected. A friend of mine just finished the 25 pushups a day for 25 days. He only posted video of it the first couple days and the last days. He did them every day (I think) and challenged someone each day. He says he’s going to continue it because it made him feel so much better. I don’t think I could do 25 pushups even one day! Katie-girl likes this cooler weather, but we were looking at temps in Colorado, they were in the 80s and then snow! I imagine we’ll all get warmed up temps at least once more before winter arrives. Of course this is 2020, so nothing is certain.

I’m sure the 25 pushup challenge is making the rounds, but the first time I saw it was when my brother tagged me. I do strength exercise two or three times a week, so I will most likely end up tacking the pushups onto it when I finish the challenge. i will attempt to record each one, but… As to tagging someone every day, I hate doing that, so I tag “Everyone” or “Whoever laughs at my poor form”. It is such a weird weather year! Well, a weird year for everything, but weather has been at extremes. I hope you have a great weekend!
