Hello and Welcome! Come on over and sit down and I’ll get you a nice large mug of a very strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or other beverage. It is quite cool but not cold. The day is beautiful and sunny. The crispness in the air matches the rapidly changing leaves, at last – it was summer hot earlier in the week, so this bit of real October weather is very, very welcome! Oh, where are we? Some may recognize the photo as being in New Hampshire.
It was an odd week over all. I didn’t do a whole lot besides work. OK, there was exercise, running, playing with the dogs, walks with the dogs and other typical things, but I do those every week, o matter what. I have also continued in with my 25 pushups every day for 25 days. Tomorrow is the last day!
We are still getting fresh veggies from our CSA, mostly greens. Nice fresh salads every night :)
I am right now running a promotion, giving away the Kindle version of my book of short stories, Embers. See the post here or look for info at the bottom of the page if you are interested.
And that was about it.
Thanks for stopping by! f you have a coffee share, I will try to stop in and say hi.
Have a great weekend.
The coffee share is hosted over on Eclectic Alli.Ā The link to join is here.

I think I count as those who do not recognise the teapot and matching mugs as New Hampshire but i will now
it sounds like its about to rain and just a bit of rain and the power goes off so let me dash before the storm

lol, I’m sure many do not recognize that particular photo since I think I used it maybe twice a year ago… Since I travel between two places pretty often, I like to use the photo to let people know where I am, even if 90% actually don’t until I tell them ;)
I’m glad you are getting some rain – if I remember, you are having an awful drought. Sorry the rain takes out the power, though. Hope you have a good week.

Update it was all wind and not much rain but at least the temperatures are blissfully cooler
Cheers

Hi Trent,
Thanks so much for the pot of tea. I love your tea/coffee put and matching cups.
Well done for getting through all those push-ups. My exercise is down after spraining my knee of a bushwalk a few weeks ago. It’s getting better but I’ve probably overdone it at times too. Our weather is up and down here as well but I decided to pack up my heavy woollens today.
I’m off to meet up my Dad tomorrow and heading out on his yacht. He’s only expecting light wind so we might not get the sails out, but it will be great just to be out on the water again. Hope you have a great week.
Best wishes,
Rowena

I started to get shorts and short-sleeved shirts ready to be packed away as you pack away your woolens… I usually do the season clothes swap in two shifts, just in case we continue with the ups and downs.
I hope you had a good time sailing, light wind or no.
Have a great week!

It funny isn’t it, even after all these years of comparing notes each time the seasons change.

It is fun to compare the opposite seasons.

Great to get back into the swing of life! I agree that there’s not much happening beyond the everyday necessities. Most of the “fun” things to do are closed or have so many restrictions that it’s just not worth the hassle.

A lot has had to be put on hold, but, on the other hand, a lot of what i do is outside, by myself types of things (hiking, kayaking, etc.), so I haven’t had it as bad as most. Nice to see you back on the blog :)

Thanks, I have done really well with exercise in general this year. I guess there is nothing else to do ;) I hope you have a great week.

Thanks for the yummy coffee! I have to drink a cup before I start my shift so just once every 24 hours. And in the morning on my days off. It’s so helpful when you work nights. Otherwise, I drink tea. Oops, so I guess I get more caffeine from tea too… But I will try and drink water and juice to cut back on caffeine intake when I think I’ve had too much tea. Love Autumn and the holidays all around this time of year. Have a great weekend!!

I’m sure the coffee does help to start those night shifts. I’m glad I haven’t had to do a night shift in ages – I never liked them and could never get used to it. I hope your weekend is going well and you have a great week ahead :)

I love the colours, Autumn for us here isnt that dramatic in terms of colour, there are a few big trees dotted around town that change, we love going for a drive & having a look at. Its Spring for us so i guess the world is at its most colourful right now. Thanks for the coffee.

New Hampshire is known for its color, and this year is great. For some odd reason, though, I haven’t been out taking photos. Spring here isn’t very nice – it is wet and cold. This is the part of the world where they talk about April showers and May flowers, but it is often June flowers… Thanks for stopping in. I hope you are having a good weekend :)

Do you have decaf. I’ve been told I need to switch over. Me, a person who’s never considered decaf to be real coffee. But it could be much worse, so I’ll drink the decaf and shut the h*** up.

I can get some decaf, but I can’t drink it – one sip and I will have a nasty headache that lasts hours. I can do much better with no coffee, which I occasionally do – I’ll give up caffeine for a couple of weeks, perhaps a month, enough to get it all out of my system, and then start up again. I’m sorry that it isn’t really a choice for you right now.

Fortunately, decaf doesn’t cause me any problems. I’m more annoyed that I also have to give up my nightly glass of wine. On the plus side, I’ve actually been sleeping better without caffeine and wine.

I’m sure giving up the wine wasn’t great, but, yeah, better sleep is a great benefit.

That is a lovely fall photo at the top! Thank you for the warming coffee. What is the crispy temperature? We have a high of 50 some days, and other days a high in the 40’s. It’s the perfect weather to be outside doing things. Have a great weekend!

Thanks – that photo is in the same spot where I took the summer photo (the mug surrounded by green) and the winter (mug surrounded by snow) shots. It wasn’t awful and was short sleeve weather by afternoon – upper 30s F at night, mid 60s F. We have had a few heavy frosts and days that didn’t get above the mid 50s, but it was mid-80s and super high humidity for almost a week! I am glad we have the autumn weather back again. Mid to upper 50s is great weather (if sunny) to be active.
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend :)

Thanks. I believe that exercise is very important, and although 2020 is a miserable year inmost ways, I have been more consistent than ever before.I did winter and summer photos in that same location, so I thought a good autumn photo would work :) I hope you are having a wonderful weekend :)

Good, I’m glad you are :) It has been good here – I have been outside enjoying the sun most of the day and did a long run in the hills, one with a few good views of the changing trees.

Sounds wonderful, running in the hills, especially when you can enjoy good views :)

I’m not sure if you can see my reply (WP does odd things), but here is what I wrote: Next week I will have a post about that… Simple answer, yes, no and maybe ;) I have been more consistent about exercise in 2020 than ever before, so I started in pretty close to the best shape of my life. My form is still pretty awful. But there were some changes. When I add what I learned to my regular exercise routine, it will be better.
