If We Were Havign Coffee on the Seventh of November, 2020

Hello and Welcome! Come on over and sit down. I’ll get you a large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or other beverage. It is a beautiful day, sunny and warm. Let’s just site, relax, and take in the salt air. Oh, where are we? Some may recognize the photo at the top as being from Cape Cod.

First up is weather. We started the week much colder than normal. We had snow squalls on Monday. And then it warmed up. It has been in the 70s (low 20s C). Very nice, and a great change, if very strange.

I had a long walk on the beach this morning. I left my shoes in the car and rolled up my pant-legs so I could walk on the water’s edge. The water was cool, but it was nice :)

The week at work was long and stressful. Enough said ;)

I was constantly running when not working. Some literally – I did get three runs in this week, and did other exercise. But I was also busy. Don’t ask me doing what… Hmm. Dog walks, as usual. Dog play. Some walks with just me. Massage. I know there was a lot more than that, but it was one of those weeks that I don’t remember what…

I will not mention the big event of the week. A Cat 4 hurricane slammed into Central America, and nobody noticed. Covid cases are goign stratospheric. Nobody notices. Terrorist attacks – nobody notices. There is only one thing on the news and I will not speak of it.

OK, my dogs are whining at me, even though I just sat down. It is warm and beautiful out there! There are balls to be played with, rivers to swim in (Fiyero went for a dip this AM). Walks to be had. Why sit in front of a stupid screen all day? OK, I can take doggie hints. I’ll just sign off and then go outside.

Thanks for stopping by! f you have a coffee share, I will try to stop in and say hi.

Have a great weekend.

The coffee share is hosted over on Eclectic Alli.  The link to join is here.

How nice to be close enough to the water to walk barefoot in the sand.. What a treat.. I’ll have to see if I can order the bourbon, it’s stocked nowhere near me, unfortunately.. Now I have that song in my head.. Haha, one of my favorites.. Have a great week!

Although I love being in mountainous New Hampshire, there is something about being able to take a long walk on the beach in the morning… I was surprised at how much I like the bourbon – it’s great. I had to order it on line. There is a place near my house on Cape Cod that sells it (about 20 miles), but no place close to my house in NH. You too, have a great week!

I do love the ripples – it is an area where the low tide mark is almost a kilometer from the high tide mark, so the ripples are made across the sand flats as the water drains off every day.

I feel kind of ashamed that the hurricane hit and I didn’t even know. I remember talk of it forming, but I lost track after that. The covid #s caught my attention though. And a news piece last night from a local doctor that said he’s seeing some returning covid patients that had it before…so maybe we aren’t really immune, even at all, afterward. :(

Being on the coast I visit the national hurricane site often, so after it formed, I followed it closely. (sorry storms fascinate me). After Latin America,it is back over water… It is about to hit Cuba as a Storm, and then will go up Florida’s Gulf coast.
The Covid-19 news is awful. And a few more of Trump’s inner circle have caught it (nope, won’t be gone Nov 4). I have heard that people who have had it may not be as immune as they would hope, and that symptoms, though milder, can return for a while :( I hope you are doing OK! Stay safe.

Could you imagine how nutty we would be if we didn’t have our pets to look after us. lol
I love taking my shoes off and walking in the sand its a free exfoliant for the feet. Stay safe with the weather going on over there & other things. Have a wonderful week ahead.

I would be competently and totally nuts without my furry kids keeping me grounded. Even though the water was a little chilly, walking barefoot was very relaxing, and I’m sure helped the skin… (I don’t know if salt water is an exfoliant, but my skin does feel softer and smoother after a nice swim in the ocean) I hope you are having a great weekend.

Yes, a giant sigh of releif and a huge smile… Tonight will be a little Heaven’s Door Bourbon (Bob Dylan’s brand) while watching the president-elect talk, though while I have some Heave’s Door in my glass, I may sneak off and listen to something like “The Times They Are a-Chagin'”…

Sounds to me like the dogs know how to get your attention. Honestly, they keep you from doing too much work and just allow you more outdoor time lol. Do they get paid for this?

My dogs have me wrapped around their small paws, and just have to whine and I’m there… They do get paid in treats and plenty of play, love and attention – all the things dogs want :) (I did sneak away from the dogs and kayak for a few hours, though).

The beach walk was fabulous, and I am contemplating goign again tomorrow… I hope you are able to get out on the beach soon – I haven’t stopped in to see if you have a new post in a few days to read about your further beach excursions.

The dogs do have the best plan, though I spent a few hours away from them on the kayak, so… It was great day to be out doors :) I hope your weekend is goign well.

It has been a stressful week for everyone, though a lot less stressful now! Yuck, it is too early for snow (yes, we’ve had ti a couple times, but still ;) ). I hope your weekend is going well and you aren’t hit too hard by the snow storm.

Thank you for the coffee and I’ve never seen the sand rippling like that as our beaches don’t have that or I may just not be at the beach enough to see? Either way, love the photos!!
YES! Let’s focus on other stuff as I’m watching my cooking shows as I crochet and relax. I’m so happy you got your exercise in this week and also dog play, exercise as well! I’ll be sharing coffee today too, it’s been extremely stressful week for me but it’s almost over. Have a WONDERFUL weekend! 🤠

This is a beach with very large expanses of sand flats at low tide – the water goes out at least a quarter of a mile, maybe even a half a mile, so it leaves these ripples behind. It is my favorite beach, and watching the changing patterns is always very fascinating. And, yep, everyone can breath again, even though there will continue to be lawsuits and stuff, it’s done. I hope you are having a great weekend :)

I do think the entire world was holding its breath this week. I’m sure legal battles will be in the news, but it doesn’t matter, it is done. I do love the ripples in the sand. This is my favorite beach, and the patterns always fascinate me.

I will admit that sometimes exercise makes for good stress relief ;) It was great to be out on the sand. The water was cold, but not frigid, so not bad to wade through. It felt even warmer when I went kayaking in the afternoon. Thanks for stopping in for some coffee! Hope your weekend is goign well.
