If We Were Having Coffee on the 14th of November, 2020

Hello and Welcome! Come on over and sit down. It is a little chilly, but I will get a warm beverage, perhaps a large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or mug of hot cocoa. You know, lots of marshmallows in it… Anyway, after yesterday’s miserable cold and damp, it is a beautiful day, if cold. Well, seasonable – it has been very warm, feeling like mid to late September instead of early November, so when it gets back to normal. Oh well. And were are we? Some may recognize the photo at the top as being from New Hampshire.

This was an odd week. I went down to Cape Cod last Friday, instead of my usual Wednesday, and stayed until Wednesday evening, instead of Sunday morning like usual. I had a meeting on Tuesday evening down there, and then Wednesday was a day off of work, so bonus. As I said, it was warm there, but 10 to 15 degrees F cooler than in NH (it did reach the low 70s (low 20s C) over the weekend, but was closer to 60 F (15 C) during the week, while it was in the upper 70s (mid 20s C) (it might have hit 80 F /27 C one day) in New Hampshire.

I did all of those Cape Cod things, like go to the beach, kayak, walk in the woods, etc. I also exercised and got one good run in (I need to run today!). I also played with the dogs and walked them a bit, though Idina was not in a walking mood all week, at least until we returned to NH. Anyway, it was great. Work was crazy. Thursday felt like another Monday, only a very bad Monday. Yuck. A lot going on.

Back in NH I have been playing with a new synthesizer a lot. Today I have a ton of work to day around the house – there are different winterizing tasks I have been putting off that need to be done.

And with that, I will be off!

Thanks for stopping by! f you have a coffee share, I will try to stop in and say hi, but I will admit that my blogging time has been limited recently, and visiting has been down :(

Have a great weekend!

The coffee share is hosted over on Eclectic Alli.  The link to join is here.

One set of footprints…. made me think of this story about someone talking to God and then God says it was then I carried you…
I miss the beach… can one miss somewhere they have never been though?

Perhaps we are never truly alone… I miss a lot of places I’ve never been ;) And, a slightly more serious note, I’ve been to places that as soon a I arrived I felt that I had been there forever, that I knew it as well as my home town, perhaps better, and that I had secretly missed the place without known were it was. We humans are a strange lot ;) Hope you are having a good week

I dreamed I was on a beach this week, does that count??? LOL! Glad to hear you got out and enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather. I did open the windows and gave the house an air bath the day it was nearly 80 here. Not sure what day that was, though.

A dream almost counts… If I was up in New Hampshire, I would have had the windows open since it was close to 80 here, but down by the ocean there was still that cool breeze. Hope you have a great week :)

Sounds like my busy days shifted to you!! Totally understand how it’s hard to keep up with everything on busy days and weeks! Glad you got a run in and hopefully a few more too! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! 😀

I really wanted something hot this evening — it’s chilly in the house. I didn’t want coffee or tea, so I made cocoa. I had forgotten how sweet cocoa is. And why I never drink it. Sometimes a sugar high really does feel like being drunk!

lol, I used to guzzle hot cocoa when I skied, for much the same reason – it was a high that helped as I grew tired. I very rarely drink it any more, but my wife does, so there are many different types around the house.

The more muted colors of late November are starting to take over, but still pretty. The footprints were at my favorite beach – it’s a great place for a relaxing walk. Have a great weekend!
