“But all living things have a brain.”
“Know so much about the Force of Life, do we? The brain of a tree is where, and life would you deny a tree, young Padawan?”

“What is this?”
“It’s a new remake of The Wizard of Oz. It has Luke Skywalker as Dorothy, Yoda as the scarecrow, Darth Vader as the Tin Man, Jar Jar Binks as the Cowardly Lion…”
“Stop! Stop! Is this for real?”
“Why not? It’s fun. And Darth Maul makes one scary witch!”
“I think Disney has taken Star Wars too far…”

Shhhh, if they catch on, they may actually do it!

We should never have trusted the creators of It’s a Small World with the care of Star Wars.
What did anyone think would happen?
LikeLiked by 1 person
lol, exactly. So far they haven’t done too much to ruin Star Wars, but I’m not counting on them doing something as ghastly as this story.

I await the release with baited breath! May the Force be with you, Dorothy :-)

I’m sure it will be a major hit when it is out…

Now that would be hilarious, I would watch that.

I’m sure they would break all types of box office records if they put it out… Thanks.

lol, my opinion is that is the best line of the story… and it wasn’t actually in the story ;)

I’ve never been a Star Wars fan, but this lot could just convert me! A great take Trent.

lol, maybe I should send a script to Disney. Thanks.

That would be a movie worth waiting for :) Darth Vader would surely have a voice change ;)

I’m sure it would be the most popular movie or mini-series of the year! I disagree, though – Darth Vader’s voice would be perfect. “There is good within you, I can feel it.” “(huff, puff) You are wrong (huff, puff). That is a possibility that was closed long ago (huff, puff). I have no heart (huff, puff). Without a heart, I am owned by the Dark Side (huff, puff).” lol. If I keep going, I may end up writing the entire script ;)

Hahaha, can’t help myself. Too funny! Especially reading these comments and adding Lord of the rings, and Harry Potter into the mix 🤣

If Disney owned the rights to HP and TLotR, I’m sure they would add them ;) Glad you got a chuckle.

Very clever use of the Star Wars characters. I chuckled away ….

Trent, after I got up off the floor from laughing, I thought, how likely it is that this will happen. Thanks for the heads up

Of course – “I’ll get you, my pretty, and your little R2 unit too!” had a certain ring to it.

Why don’t you throw the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter in there for good measure. Such a fun story, Trent.

I guess Gandalf could be the wizard and Hermione Granger Glinda the Good…. Thanks.

Dear Trent,
Gotta love those characterizations for the remake. Well…most of them. Jar Jar Binks is the deal breaker for me. ;) Perhaps I’ll get around to rereading the books one day.
Shalom,
Rochelle

Obi Wan is obviously the Wizard and Liea is Glinda the Good, but the lion is harder (I think Chewbacca is too cliched to work… Perhaps C3PO?). Jar Jar really is a coward, but I agree, he almost killed the prequels.

Use an Ewok for the lion. That would be cute!

Actually, an Ewok might work there, though I was thinking the Ewoks would be the inhabitants of Munchkin Land ;)

Listening to the radio yesterday, I heard about a town that used these same characters in a Christmas creche.
I guess it didn’t go over well.

I did see the headline but didn’t read the article. No, I wouldn’t think it would go over well!

It might! So far Disney has shone relatively good taste with their Star Wars franchise, but I wouldn’t put anything past them….

Me neither. The remakes and the spin-offs are getting a bit ridiculous.

And I wouldn’t put it past Disney trying to cash in in any way they can! Funny, and at the same time, a sad reflection on movie culture at the moment.

I’m just waiting for it. Can’t be worse than the original Star Wars Christmas special from the 70s ;) Disney has been really exploiting Star Wars, but so far nothing too bad, so let’s just hope they don’t push it this far…
