Colleen is back and so is her weekly poetry challenge! This week is a poet’s choice week. I chose to do a haiku with a 3/5/3 structure. Or is it a senryu? I’ll let you decide…

Very nice haiku, Trent. The last line was a good surprise and totally unexpected! My favorite way of remembering if it’s a haiku or senryu is: haiku are written about nature, and senryu are written about human nature and the human condition. This moving stuff is exhausting! <3

Thanks, Colleen. Of course this could be a metaphor about some people, and that last line having some bite ;) I’m sure moving across the country is exhausting. I hope you are enjoying the cold weather!
