A stench lies on Avebury, New Hampshire. It isn’t something that one can smell, it is more of a psychic soot polluting everybody’s mood. No one recalls when it arrived, but there does seem to be a connection with the Old Mill and its mysterious new owners.
*
Following the trail of the local legend, the ghost of Martha Goode, Gill Baxter is driven to discover the truth behind the events of 1821 and, hopefully, prevent another “time of dying.” That trail, though, leads directly to The Old Mill.

In his 19 years of living in Avebury, Gill Baxter has both grown into the town’s fabric and has let the fabric of the town grow into him, so much so that few remember that he isn’t one of the age-old locals. There is one thing, though, that separates him from a true local. Being from “away”, Gill missed the rite of passage that every school child has gone through, the late-night visit to the Goode Mansion to meet one of Avebury’s most celebrated citizens, the ghost of Martha Goode. At least for those who believe in such things.
To help satisfy his curiosity, Gill’s house keeper sets him up on an after-dark date to visit the Goode Mansion with her sister, and Gill’s secret crush, Lyndsey. Gill and Lyndsey’s experience confronting the ghost of Martha sets the ball rolling that might uncover Avebury’s darkest secrets.
With Avebury entering a new “time of dying”, seemingly at the hands of the long dead Thomas Goode, the man said to be responsible for the first “time of dying” in 1821, will Gill succeed and perhaps drive off the black clouds, or will the evil forces streaming out of the Goode Mill, the Old Mill, win, destroying everything, and everyone, that he holds most dear?

Cool! Congratulations, Trent!
Here’s a tip for you: if you use the ‘mybook.to’ website, you don’t need to list all the links for the various national amazons, because that link does it for you automagically. Like this: http://mybook.to/The-Eclectic (oops… did I just promote my own book? That was naughty. BTW it’s free today! … oops again.)

Hi Trent – congrats – and I have followed this book development from the start (on and off of course)
and want to know if you would be up to doing an interview about it with me on my blog – we can keep it simple (like you did here and like you are so good at – nice and succinct)
I can email you – as we also have to check in about Little Dorrit
but just be thinking about

Thanks, Yvette. Yeah, if you don’t mind a short interview would be great :)
Still a ways away, but we do need to plan out how we are going to handle Little Dorrit.

If you are serious about it, look into getting a Kindle app for your phone, computer or where ever you’d read it – I think Kindle app is free instead of paying for a piece of hardware! (I do love the Kindle, but don’t use mine any more). Thanks! Have a great week :)
