Hello and Welcome! Come on over and sit down. Doesn’t the spring sun feel great? It will be warmish today, though a spring jacket may be required. A little breeze, but not much. Here, I’ll get you a very strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some cocoa. Where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo as being from Cape Cod.
I drove down here Wednesday evening, which some of you may know is pretty typical. I really didn’t get very far from the house in the last few days, since I was teleworking. This morning, though, I went to my favorite beach, Chapin Beach, and took a very long walk. It was great! And Thursday’s run took me down the access road next to West Dennis Beach, so about 2 miles of my run was beside the beach. Then there were many walks to the landings and that type of thing. It was great!
Besides the above, I read, I exercised, I worked, I had massage, I walked and played with dogs, I did a drawing for our Lions Club, I did a Zoom Lions Club meeting, and I did all of those other things I normally do.
I also finished the very rough draft of my new book! As I said, it is very rough, but that is a good start.
This week was very much a spring week. I was outside in a short sleeve shirt, ran in shorts and t-shirt, saw lots of wildlife and flowers.

With the sun and the warm, I will try to spend as much time outside as possible.
Thanks for stopping by! If you have a coffee share, I will try to visit, but no promises – as I said, I plan on being outside all day.
Natalie the Explorer is now the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkzlinkup to see all of the other shares!
Sounds like a great week! I love seeing new spring flowers and hearing all the birds singing.

Still a very rough draft, but, yes, another one in the works. Glad you are enjoying The Old Mill! Hope you have a wonderful week!

Gorgeous picture of the Crocus! And it’s great news about your draft. I’ve been working on a draft for about 6 months — and got this exciting idea for a different book, so took a detour and worked on it for about two months — and now NEITHER of them is even a finished rough draft. My own fault. But knowing that you have completed another one makes me want to get myself in gear and get at least one or the other of mine into some kind of rough state of completion. Thanks for spurring me into action. :)

Congrats on finishing your draft – you know what they say – you can’t edit a blank page!

Thanks! Exactly – it may be awful now, but it is much, much better than that blank page!

Amen to being outdoors.
We still have cold nights & mornings but our mid days are wonderful. Almost any excuse to be out there is now a good one by fiat.

We’ve had a few nights that didn’t get below freezing, so that is a big plus. I did spend pretty much all day outside and, besides the drive to NH, plan on it again tomorrow.
I hope your weekend is going well.

Thanks, Pam! I do have a Twitter account and my WP posts go there, but I haven’t logged in in at least 5 years and have no idea what my handle on it is…

I thought about you when I saw the weather go through this week. We had some good winds, but it was really pretty boring as far as storms go. I’m looking for signs of spring, and have yet to see robins or crocus here. hope you have a good week.

I’m surprised you haven’t seen any signs of spring yet – hopefully next week. Funny, but the robins show up by the hundreds in mid to late February when there is still snow on the ground and slowly disappear, I guess flying to Ohio and Kentucky ;) Hope you are having a great weekend.

Oh, the grass is greening. A dandelion has appeared and multi- flora with little purple flowers that I’ve yet to id… But no robins… Maybe they froze out.

Lovely. I have yet to see a single crocus in my neck of the woods… Sigh…

I’m thinking I will. It was 70 two days ago! The snow is gone except for shady areas so… 🤞

We had 70s in NH, but I missed it down here on Cape Cod – still nice. Yep, warm weather, snow (mostly) gone, I think the flowers can’t be far behind!

A most lovely flower! Sounds like you have enjoyed the week. The exercise in particular seems a high spot. So consistent with it! I think I would enjoy taking walks through the area you run in. Best wishes for the coming week!

It is great to see the first spring flowers! I have been more consistent in my exercise, particularly running in the last year and a half or so, and it feels great. I did have about a month of no running in January and February. I tried to make up for it using a rower, but it made a huge difference in how I felt and my mood when I got back into running again. There are always a lot of people walking on that beach route that I run, so you wouldn’t be alone. Have a great weekend!

Sounds like a great week. I would love to be able to use the words, “This was very much a spring week.” I, however, lost count of how many times it snowed here this week! Thanks for the virtual coffee, hope you have a lovely weekend! Oh, and congrats on finishing your rough draft!
