This was a great week with a lot of smiles. It was the warmest week of the year so far and felt like spring. There were flowers on the ground and the trees are beginning to bud. i saw a snake and heard spring-peepers (frogs that come out in early spring). There were plenty of birds around.
I also finished a very rough draft of my latest book. I will sit on it for a while before going back and doing drafts. But it is great to get that first very rough draft done!
I was down on Cape Cod for the weekend. i took a long walk on my favorite beach, Chapin beach. It was a great.
Back in December a large tree that used to stand next to my house on Cape Cod fell. This weekend I had someone get rid of the tree and the large remaining stump. I also had a big tree that broke off 30 feet/10 m up. the top of the tree was laying across other trees. They took that down and got the top down. There were also three small that were tangled in my electric lines, so those were taken as well. And then I had two large brush piles that they removed for me. So a lot of work, and it cost about as much as I thought it would cost to remove one tree, not five! I did a little bit of cleanup on my own and will do more the next time I am down.
That was my smile this week, a beautiful start to spring and some much needed spring cleanup/tree work on my house on Cape Cod.
What made you smile?
Come on, I’m sure you smiled at least once last week. Why don’t you share it? I hope you can join in!
Here is list of “rules” and guiding ideas. If you don’t have time to read it right now, just remember that this is an exercise to spread positivity. Don’t smile about the misfortune of others. Don’t smile in a way to excludes others. Make sure a 12 year old can read it.
To join in, write a post to share your smile and then leave a comment on this post with a link to your smile. Or, if you prefer, do a pingback to this post (pingback = have a link from your post to this one) (Note – pingbacks have been very inconsistent – please leave a comment :) ). You can post any time until next Sunday evening (to be simple, I will say midnight GMT, which is 7 PM Sunday for me). Next week I will compile all of the Smiles and do a separate post of them on Monday morning just before the smile. (I will shoot for around 7 AM EST).
