Hello and Welcome! Come on over and sit down. It is a bit chilly, but it is sunny and there is no breeze. It will warm up to spring temperatures as the day goes on, so hopefully you can deal with this cold start. At least you weren’t here yesterday – it never got above freezing, and with the super moist air and strong winds, brrrrr!! Anyway, I will get you a large mug of very strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some hot cocoa. Were are we? Some may recognize the photo at the top as being from New Hampshire.
So the word for the week is “work”. It was a super busy week. My team had a handful of big projects, but I was thrown into something else that was, well, not really mine. I hope we came to a good conclusion on Friday! But, yeah, I was super busy. One thing with that is that I did not blog very much this week and I don’t think I read a single post Thursday or Friday.
The dogs were on Cape Cod for most of the week, so I have only had a little dog play time and handful of dog walks. I did my typical walks every day, but not many on Thursday – it rained most of the day and hovered just above freezing. I did run Sunday and Tuesday, but it has been too wet and cold since then! I did my weight/strength exercises on Monday and Wednesday but was too busy after that. So, yeah, I have been lazy the last two days ;) OK, I have been straight out working, and it has been bitter cold!
Besides work, I also played around with my keyboards and did a little piano practice this week. I didn’t do any real writing, but I have been going through short stories. No drawing, painting or photography this week.
Since I have been pretty boring this week, and since there are new coffee share people these days, I will do a brief intro.
First, super quick bio – I grew up in Ohio near Lake Erie, and traveled a lot (mostly all over the US) as a kid. After school (Ohio Sate) I spend a little time in Texas, South Carolina and Oklahoma before settling down in New Hampshire. I also have a place on Cape Cod and spend a lot of time there. My day job is being a computer nerd ;) I do several things, but mostly I am a program manager for web hosting.
I’ve been blogging since November of 2013 and was one of the first coffee share participants back in 2014!
I enjoy being outside and spend as much time out as possible. In the past I did a lot of skiing, cross country skiing, big mountain hiking and bicycling, but these days most of my outdoor time is spent walking, shorter hikes, running, walking the dogs (playing with the dogs), “house work”, beach walks, beach swimming and kayaking. I try to do a lot of kayaking and will kayak most of the year as many days as possible…
I also participate in several arts. I write and post quite a few stories and poems here on the blog. I have self-published three novels, two books of short stories and a book with two long novellas. I draw and paint and am really into photography. I play music with the synthesizer begin my main instrument. At one time I did a lot of “contemporary classic composition”, but these days I just screw around with it.
I think next week I will show you all of my coffee share photos so when I say, “some may recognize the photo as being from…,” you might just guess it ;)
Anyway, with two days being stuck mostly inside and chained to my desk, I am going to go out and enjoy this beautiful spring day!
Thanks for stopping by! If you have a coffee share, I will try to visit, but no promises – as I said, I plan on being outside all day.
Natalie the Explorer is now the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkzlinkup to see all of the other shares!
You are so very talented. Thank you for sharing with us.

We had some cold days, too. Right to the bone type of cold.
Thanks for the insight into you!

It should stay spring for us, though we can still get a snowfall through mid-May!

Hi Trent. Our part of Calif has been nice during the mid day and even my chores of pushing large rocks and falling a dead tree have been welcomed reasons to be outside. A busy work week limited any creative project so physical ones in the sun were welcomed. Hope your week bring better outdoors weather.

We had great weather over the weekend, so I spent as little time inside as possible – after a week glued to my chair I did not want to sit! Have a great week.

How nice to learn some more about you! You and I seem to have similar interests with being outdoors, writing, and music. I hope you get some real spring weather soon.

Thanks, Susanne. We did have much better weather over the weekend, which is why I’m so late in responding – I was out enjoying it :)

It was a very cold morning, but warmed up beautifully today, so made up for the cold last few days :) I’ve posted various biographical things, including an in-depth description of my job, but I know not everyone has seen some of the basics. Hope your weekend is going well :)

Trent, I learned something new-to-me from the first two sentences of your intro. I hope your weekend is going well and the work week next week will be more relaxing. Thank you for sharing this. #WeekendCoffeeShare.

I think I’ve mention to you that I grew up on a Great Lake, so can relate to a lot of your photos, but might never had said “Ohio” or “Lake Erie”. Thanks, hopefully it is a little less hectic :) Have a wonderful week :)

I’m sorry you had a work week like mine! I have posted a few quick bios and things, but there is a whole new coffee-share group, so thought it would be nice. It’s great if you and other people I know better got something out of it as well :)

Oh yes, I enjoy learning more about my friends. I like chatty posts like this and that is why I really try to read your coffee share post each week.

When I first started blogging, the coffee shares were the only time I chatted. I do a little more now, but still not very much.

My beach hut is a blessing -we are only allowed to meet friends outside and my various visitors have been blessed with sunshine! The beach huts are only six foot boxes – six foot square, not coffin shaped! Enough space for a gas ring to make coffee and to get changed for a swim. We sit outside on our upper level and watch everyone exercising; walk, jog, cycle, skate board, scoot and swim, surf, paddle board.

Sounds nice. I have done some outside socializing, which is great, but mostly have just been walking the beaches and not socializing there – having a little privacy and a place to make coffee might change my mind about how much time I’d spend on the beach, though!
