Beautiful drawing and haiku. Reminds me of Billy Joel’s I Love You Just the Way You Are. Have you written a sijo before? Hope you’ll join the poetry challenge this month, Trent. R

  Thanks. I have not tried my hand at a sijo. Maybe I will give it a try – I have wanted to do your challenges, but for some reason get busy and never get back to it..

    Great, hope you can participate. I think the sijo is a really friendly form. It is like a haiku, but with more words to play with. It’s less of a quick sketch and more like flash fiction, with the twist at the end at which you excel.
