Iโm looking for you
Misplaced amongst the misplaced
Unseen in the mess
I know I will locate you
When there is no longer need

This was written for Colleen’s weekly poetry challenge. This week was a synonyms only week. The words given were search and lost. I wrote a tanka.

I love that sketch, my missing thing would be my socks, lol. I have morning socks then I take them off to wear work socks & its anybody guess as to where I took off my morning socks. haha

lol, I’ve learned that some things demand a routine. The big problem is that one time you break the routine – put your keys down in the wrong place, take your socks off at the wrong time, whatever, that is when they are lost forever…

Truthfully, I don’t lose my keys that often. but other things… yeah, long after I have given up and moved on, there it is…

Lovely drawing, Trent. You are talented on all sorts of levels.
And isn’t that always the way of lost things?

Thanks, Dale!
Of course – as long as you are actively looking, it will never be found. Buy/build/borrow a replacement, and there it is….

Actually… how often do you buy a replacement to only find it, like.. immediately!

Not often, but once is enough! (It was more than once, but…)

It was a rhetorical question though most of us have done it at least once!

yes, I can’t think of anything that goes missing quite as often… Now I have to stop by and read about your search for your lost keys ;)
