Hello and Welcome! Come on over and take a seat. It is a little cool, but not bad, and the sun feels great. I’ll get you nice mug of very strong dark roast, a cuppa tea, a hot cocoa or other beverage. It’s nice here, isn’t it? It doesn’t look quite like the photo at the top, which was taken in the middle of summer, but it is still pretty. Oh, were are we? Some of you may recognize that photo I spoke of as being from Cape Cod. Yes, there is a salt water marsh/bay just beyond those trees, which, without the leaves, is now visible.
So, yeah, I am on “The Cape” this weekend. I came down Thursday evening. Yesterday, after work, I took a long walk in the woods and by a saltwater marsh, then a shorter walk on the beach (it was super windy!), I got up early this morning and took a very long walk on my favorite beach. It is going to be warm, and the wind is down, so I am sure I will spend a big chunk of today on the kayak.
This was a tough work week. Yuck. The less said, the better.
This week I exercised and ran, though less than I would have liked. I also walked, played with the dogs, had massage, read, played music with some piano practice, and other normal stuff. Because work was so tough, I felt I got a lot less personal stuff done than most weeks. A lot less. again, yuck. My blogging was also down. I’m not sure if I even looked at anything blogging related on Friday and only spent a small amount of time on Thursday.
However, this week I did take a few photos for the coffee share! My “New Hampshire Spring” photo is all shades of brown, so I wanted some flowers. Here are a couple of shots I took.

I only want to use one. Which is your favorite? Which should I use, the daffodils in the background or the shot from the woods with a trillium?
I plan on doing more shots for Cape Cod. I used to have a bunch with Beatles mugs. Unfortunately, most of my Beatles mugs got broken (I have a ton of mugs, including some that are over 40 years old (the McDonald’s Pub mug I use for NH), so why did the Beatles ones break?!) I do have a couple of Beatles mugs left, and will think of places and ways to photograph them. Stay tuned!
Oh, thinking photos, here is a selfie I took to “show off” my “Covid-long” hair ;) I was going for a 1970’s pro-rock star look.

Watching videos from the 70s, my hair is actually too short! lol. Maybe when it is time to get it cut (after my second shot), i will do another, but with my camera, not my phone.
Anyway, it is sunny and gorgeous! The osprey are calling! The kayak is lonely! Yeah, I need to get out on the water.
Thanks for stopping by! If you have a coffee share, I will try to visit, but no promises.
Natalie the Explorer is now the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkzlinkup to see all of the other shares!
I like the mug in the woods one. I’ve wanted to visit Cape Cod. Maybe someday

Thanks, I think I am leaning towards that photo as well. Cape Cod is great. I have a house here and plan on moving full time after I retire.

If we have to lose to something – losing to an osprey seems to be reasonable.
I think I’d make the same call, thus here I sit on Tuesday trying to catch up.
Hope you have a great week unfolding.

The osprey usually win out – I do love watching them so much. Unfortunately, when work is busy, it actually wins out even over the osprey ;) This week is better, but. like you, still playing catch up.
Hope you have a great week as well :)

Thanks! Today was a pretty good, day, and a great day after work :) Tomorrow will be super busy, but hopefully not in a bad way. And then the rest of the week, well, don’t tell anyone, but I’m taking a few days off of work… Thanks for checking :)

It’s wonderful that you can get up the Cape regularly, Trent. What a great spot. And I like the long hair! Ha ha. Lovely photos too. :-) Have a wonderful week.

It is great to have the place on the Cape where I can get away when I need to. NH is pretty, and very nice, but there is something relaxing about the Cape. I think my rock star look is going to be going back to the 70s sometime in the next month or so. Thanks, I hope you have a wonderful week as well.

Hey Trent, I don’t mind the new Covid do. It is a kind of getting ready for retirement laid back look. Enjoy the Cape and hopefully some Spring weather.

Thanks! ,It is also the “I will never be back in the office for the rest of my career” look ;) Truthfully, I started teleworking full time just a couple of months before this hit, so I never will be back except to drop off my computer, badge and keys.
Hope you are enjoying your fall weather and have a great week.

Wow – lucky that you had started working from home before the pandemic hit in full force. You would have been all set up. Interesting you call it teleworking. I haven’t heard that term here.
LikeLiked by 1 person
There are several terms I have heard, but I think “telework” is the official term my agency uses, though I used to use “telecommute” almost exclusivity, and that is one my spellcheck likes ;) I have been working from home part time for about six years and was to only one day a week in the office for a little less than a year before I went full time from home.

I have heard mixed reports here. Some folks love working from home whilst others really struggle with it. I suppose it depends on where we are in life.

I agree a lot has to do with where we are in life. Also, my team is spread throughout the US, so even in the office I never worked with them face to face, so…

I love the photo of your cup with daffodils in the background, it’s colourful and lovely. I hope you get a quieter week next week. The garden in the top photo looks lovely!

I think the bright yellow daffodil photo is closer to what a lot of people think of Spring, though the other is very Earthy… Thanks, I’m sure it will much quieter :) I hope you have a wonderful week ahead!

First, Mugs… I like the one with the Trillium. I looks like the flower and the mug are having a conversation. I like the daffy one, too. Second, love the hair! I saw in a magazine that this year’s “trendy” hairstyle is a return to the “shag” look. Personally, I can see why… I mean, after all, the barber’s and salons have been closed for … well, forever, it seems. That said, I’m really trending right now in the hair department. I’ve got a hubby inspired cut… and he only sees out of one eye… LOL! That’s okay, I had my revenge… He’s got his summer buzz and looks totally bald. hehe! Hope you get out to kayak this week. I’ve got to try that sometime. Never have. Can’t really swim. I often canoed, though, when I had access to a canoe and the rivers. Something else I gave up when I married. Apartment life doesn’t give much space for storing things like 10 foot canoes… or even kayaks.

With the mugs, I am goign back and forth but I think the trillium might be it. But.. lol. I don’t know many guys growing their hair out, but I do know quite a few that grew beards in the first few months of it, back in 2020, and have kept them. With my hair, it seems people either love ti or hate it, there is little in between. I would not go for a summer buzz! Luckily my wife likes my hair long. If I want a divorce, the first thing I would do would be to get a buzz cut ;) Today is rainy, so no getting out on the water, but I did yesterday. There are places that rent, which, while expensive, is cheaper than buying and you don’t have to worry about where to store them.
I hope you have a great week!

That’s a pretty cup — did you paint it yourself?

No, it was painted by my good friend Vincent… Seriously, the cup has a painting by Vincent van Gogh. I picked it up at a museum that has that painting. In the back of that photo at the top you can see a matching mug with a painting by Claude Monet.

I love the Einstein mug! And I’m getting a massage tomorrow. I so need it, and had to cancel the last one since I had my second does of Pfizer the day before. Have a great week! -Pam

It’s funny, I have been super careful with everything, like not getting a haircut, but I have to have my massage ;) My massage therapist lost quite a few clients, so it is good for both of us.
Have a great week!

I Love the photo with the daffodils! They just make me smile, I like the trillium too but my eye says the other is prettier in my opinion of course. I’m so sorry you had a yucky work week… Yuck! But it’s over and hope the next week’s coming are much better. I know it’s evening there now and I bet you had a wonderful day out in your kayak, and being outdoors.
Now you got me thinking about taking a photo with a mug in different places. Funny, I had a rather large mug collection but donated a bunch since I had so many. I have a collection of Star Wars mugs. Hey, that’s a good idea maybe I’ll use them! Haha, you got my brain thinking! Lol – I think it’s cool you had or still have Beatles mugs. Anyways, have a great rest of the weekend and great week ahead! 😊❤️

The two photos do say different hings, but they both speak of spring. The daffodils are more traditional spring, but the trillium is very Earthy and back to nature… I may end up using both anyway ;)
we all have bad work weeks, and this was mine for a while… I hope ;)
The weekend has been great so far :)
When I bought my other house on Cape Cod (the one I sold when I bought this one), a local discount store had the Beatles mugs. I still have Sgt, Peppers, Let It Be, Magical Mystery Tour, The White Album (yes, it is boring) and Rubber Soul, but Rubber Soul has a huge chip. Actually looking I only broke two (and chipped Rubber Soul). Anyway, when I was in the other house, I used those for the coffee share.
I do like having them up and having specific shots for the seasons and for the two locations.
Hope you are having a great weekend!

Both photos are nice, but I think yellow represents Spring best. Just my opinion. I have gotten two haircuts in the past year. Pretty sure I will continue that practice in the future. Have fun on the water.

Yellow is a very “spring color”. The other is much ore “Earthy”. Hmmm… I did have a haircut last July, so it hasn’t been the full year, but, since I do like my hair a little longer, once I do go back to regular cuts, I will most likely go to three or four times a year instead of five or six.
So far the water and weekend has been great. Hope you are having a good weekend and have a great week ahead.

I don’t think I knew that you visited here. It is a great place, but not always at the top of people’s lists when they visit the US. As to work, most of the issues had a satisfactory conclusion, so not all is bad – it is much worse when the problems seem to just go on and on without an end in sight!

I went there nearly ten years ago, my sister was working in New York. I was in New York for about a week then she took a break and we visited Boston, Cape Cod and Nantucket and many places in-between. It was great such a beautiful trip. 💜
