The flow of time brings us together
In a microscopic moment
That lasts for eternity
Souls conjoined for a step
Explore for a season
Search for answers
Look with me
Spirit
Seek
Us
Meaning
Push forward
For a moment
On the long journey
We have only one quest
Forever breaking new trails
By the river of existence
Forever searching for its meaning

This was written for Colleen’s weekly Poetry Challenge. This week the challenge was to use the two words Life and Move, but using only synonyms of those words. I decided to do a double-nonet so I could get that hourglass shape…

Such a lovely hour glass philosophical poem Trent. And on a topic that fascinates me so much!

Thanks, Marje. I felt I had to do an hourglass for this topic!

Wow, your muse is back. This poem has the warm glow of life and depth of meaning. I feel I am drifting along in the deep river dragging my fingers through silky waters and glisten in the sun. (Or maybe its the not-so-subliminal picture you’ve provided. :) Love this, Trent.

Trent,
All the images flow together so smoothly and carry us with them, so beautiful and hopeful.

Thanks. i did not think to try it going up, but, for the most part, it does work. As I was writing it, there were a couple of places where I inverted the lines and swapped places, so I guess it makes sense that at least some works backwards.

I love the forever searching part, Trent. It seems we are all recreating ourselves to keep moving forward. Survivors for sure!

I do love this style and how it looks like an hour glass. The thoughts conveyed with the photo are beautiful! I do not know a lot about poetry and enjoy reading and learning! ❤️

Thanks. As soon as I had the subject matter, I decided on the double-nonet to get that hourglass. I do not know a huge amount about poetry, but enjoy reading, writing and learning :)
